Mice of entirely different species can not interbreed; nor can they breed with other types of animals. Also, mice have to be alive to breed. Sorry. D: A convenient list of which species of mice can breed with which follows! Mice from the same group can breed with each other.



Average litters usually contain between five and ten baby mice. Litter size also varies from species to species. Anthros...do not have very many babies. Sorry.

There is no need to catch baby mice with cheese when gotten through breeding, as they're already there anyway. XD

If either parent mouse contains edits, item edits will not be inherited. However, physical edits, such as hair, may be inherited.

The owners of both parents can keep up to half the litter between them. The remaining mice may be given to other people (friends, family, complete strangers, etc.) at the discretion of the owners, if they have any specific people in mind. Otherwise, the shop will find homes for the babies, generally through free events. The owners of the parents can decide how the mice are given out, and to whom, through these events, if, for instance, they want to hold an RP contest; however, these events will be hosted and maintained by the shop.

Only heterosexual couples can breed through conventional means (ifyouknowhaddamean), and the cost of breeding is 6000 gold. Additionally, providing evidence of romantic encounters through RP will knock 10% off the cost of breeding.

The newest and most promising employee at Splisotron Genetic Labs, Faux (and let's be clear here, he's not an NPC, he has an owner) was quickly offered his own laboratory and piles of money of suspicious origin with which to conduct his experiments. Or rather, he just kind of wandered in one day and was mistaken as an employee at the labs, and after demonstrating stellar potential as a mad scientist, he was given his own lab and somehow conned the company into giving him several grants to further his work. Splisotron really needs to work on their security.

At any rate, Faux and his fuzzy morals have begun experiments in genetic engineering at his very own laboratory. Of course, Splisotron has decided to sell out his services as a geneticist...a crazy geneticist...for a fee, for anyone crazy enough to want a crazy geneticist to genetically combine their mice into crazy...genes.

Some technical details:
Mice bred at Faux's lab can be any gender, because he is a crazy geneticist with no morals. The genders of the parents do not necessarily affect the genders of the babies. (Again, crazy geneticist with no morals. Who knows WHAT he's mixing in there.)
Faux can breed pairs outside of their breeding groups. However, he can not breed ghosts.
The number of babies resulting will be, at most, half that of a natural breeding.
All babies will be either ghosts or edited versions of their parents' species.
Edited babies will have either small or medium edits. All edits will be physical-type edits.
There is no telling what kinds of edits you could get from this. Just sayin', it's probably going to turn pretty horrifying if you go a few generations into this. Your mice might stop looking like mice and more like...shapeless blob monsters. YOU WERE WARNED.

The cost of breeding through Faux's laboratory is 15,000 gold. Having evidence of a relationship through RP is not going to knock 10% off this price. If your mice really wanted to have some babies because they are that in love, they sure as hell wouldn't be here asking Faux to help them.
