We let them control our lives and actions; dictate the things we do. It seems to be a human thing to focus on all the bad parts of something and never once linger on the good.
So why not talk about the good things? Those things that made you smile, those things that made you laugh. Those things that could have happened whenever, but seemed to come right when you needed it most.
I'm talking about all the moments in life when you smiled and felt nothing but happiness. When there was no underlying anger, sorrow, revenge. When the tears were from joy, not contempt. Those moments when you feel like all is good with the world...
Although we tend to forget these rare moments in time, these gemstones of memories, they always make us smile to bring them back up.
I'm tired of people not smiling with absolute joy again. Maybe if you bring it up, everything will just feel..... better.
[for the ones who can't understand, talk about something really good that happened to you. I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours.]

The latest thing to make me smile is the Susan Boyle YouTube clip, it is amazing, fantastic and fun ....also - the fact that the guild crew have spent the last week threatening to whip each other for no other reason except for fun, has definitely made me smile...... xd

Well,
one of the causes of this might be our society; always expecting things from us, demanding us to be active in so many ways that it seems to drown the cheer simplicity and joy of existence. Many people no longer look at the world with the eyes of a child, with the wonder of a newborn.
Days transform into a carbon copy of one another, relationships turn insipid and dull...
Only because people have trained their minds to look only for the negative; cynicism is a common denominator of our modern world.
Sad as it might be it is also true.
Though ultimately; it is our decision.

Wednsday my best friend and I went out to pick up a present for his fiancee, I hardly get to SEE him at all anymore and when I do it's on WoW, which is pretty pathetic cuz he has licsdexia, so while we were at the mall we went to fye and browsed the anime section and talked anime - one of our fav things in the world - while usually we would never get to even look at stuff like that.
We laughed, we joked, we had a good time and while I was sad to see him go when I dropped him off it was great to visit with him like that.
Come to think of it, that's one of the nicest - if not the best - birthday present I've ever gotten.
