Story:
The game is taking act in a pretty close future, I forgot if there's any specific date but nevermind. You are Faith, a "runner".. With time, the government has gotten way too manipulative. Security and survelliance EVERYWHERE. The runner's job is to pass along info between different underground groups. Faith got trained by Merc after her mom died during a downtown riot. Her father shot himself after that. Her sister became a cop and plays a major role in this game. Faith is now co-operating with Merc and a fellow runner, Celeste, to her job.

Graphic:
You can tell that swedish "Dice" put alot of effort in the environment. It's a quite new look in the gaming genre. Everything is white and detailed in bright colours like red, blue, and yellow in sharp shades. You spend all your time in the game inside the city, so get used to skyscrapers etc. The environment doesn't get repetetive though ^^ Dice made sure that every single building is unique somehow. It's intresting to explore ^^

Gameplay:
The controls are unique, yet simple. It's first person so the movement is kind of classic though. You have one "up-action" button, one "down-action" button, an "attack" button and a "slow-mo" button and that's pretty much it. But with just these buttons you can perform complex actions and combos. The key to good gameplay is timing. There's no UI either, none needed either.

Audio:
It seems that new games spend alot of there budget on the music and Mirror's Edge is no exception. The main theme, "Still Alive", is sung by Lisa Miskovsky and I'ts a pretty neat tune actually. The sound fx are well thought-through as well. You can even hear Faith's footsteps and breath as she picks up the pace.

Overall:
Great game! Well thought through and very surprising to come from an almost unknown company. A must try for every gamer. Unique.
