I started the concept for the game I'm working on like five years ago. The working title is "Capes, Swords, and Wands." Lame I know but at the time it had to do with those things. The story has developed far from the original tiny concept, but as much as I try, I can't seem to pull away from the Working Title. Anyone got any suggestions?

I don't care if it's long or not, I just can't narrow down the name at all. I started this when I was in like, I don't know, 6th or 7th grade. The story was really flat and rather childish, I'll admit. At some point in the story, orginially, you had to get some special cape, sword and wand, thus the name. The story has changed ratically. The world is, at the beging and to no give stuff away, one island. The island was split into five different sections to keep the people from fighting eachother. There is one spot in the middle that everyone mixes in but for the most part, people stay in their areas. I thought about calling it the "Island of 5", but that still doesn't feel right.
I was wondering what are people's different ways of picking an actuall title, because this working title has got to go.

Ah, this is really difficult. I can't say that I'm very good at coming up with titles, but I also don't have a hard time with it either. Or a process that I use in order to come up with a good title. Anyhow, here are a few tips I can think of...I hope they help you out in someway.
[-] Interesting words Think of words that describe your game, and look them up in a thesaurus. Are there any good alternative words with the same meaning that make your title more interesting? (E.g., instead of the word 'sword', try replacing it with 'blade')
[-] Does it make sense? You don't want your title to be a dead giveaway to whats going to happen in your game, and you also don't want a title that has nothing to do with the game at all either.
Okay my tips aren't so great and I can't come up with any good tips. Really, it's your game, name it how you want. whee

Hmmm.... War of the worlds Torn Between, or Torn in Twain, these are just some ideas... Titles, above all, is my weak spot in RPG maker ._.

Well, ok these could potetally work but it still isn't quite right. I think I'm going to have to spoil stuff. Well the the main characters are a group from each of the five sections. They fight against a group that is trying to take down the walls. This group believes the people are ready to live together.
The 5 protaganists leave the island eventually. There is a continent on the far side of the world that house two other unique races. The wall on there side of the world is so small, you can step over it. They find out that the wall acutally extands through the entire planet. Even if the people are ready, the physical world is not ready to have the walls torn down. These walls will naturally disapate over time. To take them down would destroy the world, so they have to go back to stop the group.
They won't have to get any special weapons like they did orinally, they will be out there, I'm sure but they play no part in the story. There is no war either, and the people aren't ton apart. They have been living seperated for hundreds of years, and no Magi ever make it into the story. Other wise those are all pretty good ideas.

Wall. Just call it Wall. I'm not joking, I think that would be a good title... it's memorable, simple, and sums up one part of the conflict without revealing too much about the story. Maybe?
Also, I do realize that I am about six months too late for this to be at all relevant. But I thought I'd put in my two cents! sweatdrop
