Invisible Children is a movement dedicated to uplift and spread awareness of the harsh life many Africans endure. They currently have three documantaries. One is about a terrifying racist war in which already suffering villages are bombed to the ground. Another is about a particular villiage, its education, their life, and hope. The last is about children soldiers forced to fight in the war. These soldiers can be aged anywhere from five to fifteen and they are forced from their homes to carry a gun and join the ruthless army of children against the country.
The night they previewed the first documentary on campus, they allowed everyone to make a small house out of boxes, eat the only food they usually have possession of, and stay the night outside in our boxes. Durring the middle of the night, they even had something like a bomb go off to demonstrate the terror of hearing a bomb in the night. They also allowed us to buy shirts, bags, and paint in payments of donations for the cause. I believe it was $20 that could save a family.
