Some of you may remember my beautiful violin. Others may not, so here: I bought a white violin, bled dry a red sharpie, and used the ink to create a bloodspatter pattern all over it. It's amazing.
And broken.
I opened the case the other day, and it was just.... broken. There was a giant crack right in the middle of it, and the top is sunken in. It's pretty gay. So, I ended up having to order a new one. Hopefully it.... y'know. Gets here. neutral
Other than that, we're playing Smoke on the Water at our next Orchestra concert, with some special modifications. The string bass player with have an electric bass guitar, for one. Another modification, being awesome, is that instead of violin, I'm playing electric guitar. There were four guitar players in Orchestra, one of them just started playing a few weeks ago, another can't read sheet music for guitar, and the third is the bass player, who we obviously can't get rid of. Only one bass, after all. So I was what was left. biggrin And apparently, one of the Marching Band kids is gonna be dragged with us to play the drums. That, and Kristian and I will be singing, unmic'd, to ourselves, while playing.
