Well.. seems like my body decided to force me to go get checked out.

Last night at work while standing in my check out lane, I fainted.
While on the floor I was shaking so hard they thought I was having an epileptic fit.
When I came out of it, they put me into a wheelchair and took me to the break room. The security guard tested my pulse and said my heart was racing. They called my dad and told him to come get me.
Like a minute after fainting, I started getting really bad chest pains that put me in tears.
It started in my heart and ran up the side of my neck, stabbing pains that faded in and out every few seconds. Then they started going just below my breast in a dull ache, but still stabbing through my upper left chest and neck.
Because the heart pains were so bad my dad took me to the hospital.
They drew blood, x-rayed my chest, did an EKG, and then a catscan because a blood test showed a possibility of a clot in my lungs.
However, my lungs were just fine.
About half the time spent in the hospital was waiting for them to come back with the release papers.
And, they don't know why I faint.
So, a normal doctor, a heart specialist, and a hospital. None of them helped.
They gave me a prescription for anti-anxiety medicine, but that's only for a few days. They want me to follow up with my regular doctor.
If I faint from anxiety though, how come it happens when I'm not stressed, and how come I shake?
How come I get dizzy spells even when I'm perfectly happy, like spending time with my boyfriend?

And the funny thing is, my dad tried to blame this all on my mother.
He said it's because of her leaving us that I'm so stressed out that I faint.
Really? So I must have predicted it happening two years ago when I started fainting? And my mom hasn't abandoned us. She's working in another city that's just 2 hours away in her sister's jewelry store. She visits all the time. And I'm happy, I'm happy that she's doing something she wants, that she isn't letting my dad control her completely anymore.

I'd like to say this

1. That is probably the single best way to get out of work I've ever heard. (especially on Pop's insurance XD).

2. I hope you're okay and just have a weird fainty thing that you do :].

3. Yay for standing up for your mum!

gonk

Well.

This is somewhat beyond Alice's spasmodic, random medical knowledge.

Which is actually quite a rare thing.

Uuuuuhm.

Take it easy, don't do anything that gets your heartrate up too much and maybe invest in some camomile tea.

Sorry for the crappy advise gonk

Hope you get better soon.

I would consider finding a better hospital, there are a lot of hospitals that don't do their job because they're afraid of law suits so I would find a better one if I were you...they're usually the more expensive ones but at least you get what you pay for. If that doesn't work find a better specialist, someone with a excellent medical background.

They should have done an MRI, there could be something in your brain that shorts things out. *watches entirely too much Grey's Anatomy which focuses a lot on brain surgeries*

*huggles for Apoc* My cousin actually got a blot clot in her lungs, be happy it isn't that. She was in the car too long and then stood around at the inauguration for too long without moving and now she's on blood thinners and can't eat like, anything or else the clots will come back. So it really sucks. At least it isn't that, but you might be put on some thinners if your blood is showing potential for clotting. (are you on BC? That can cause clotting...)

I am on BC.
They did a catscan to check my lungs for clotting, actually, because a blood test they did showed a possible clot, but it turned out fine.

And, my dad was trying to stop me from doing a follow-up with my regular doctor like the hospital suggested.
He took my prescription for anti-anxiety medication that they gave and wasn't going to let me fill it either, but I talked to my sister and brother, and they convinced him to let me get it filled.
He thinks he knows what's wrong, and he's trying to play doctor.

Hopefully the anti-anxiety medicine works.
MRIs are expensive.
