I am sorry to say that due to the lack of activity in this guild, especially in the roleplay forum, Singularity is being removed from this forum to be remade into a public roleplay. When that version of Singularity is ready, Barton Town url. Please bear with me, as I will be using this thread to prepare the neccisary posts.

In the future, Earth will be consumed by the expanding outer layers of our central star, the Sun. To preserve the species Homo Sapiens Sapiens, men created machines to aide their frail bodies, and rose from their once fertile, life giving home. Only to find the endless frontier of space to be far more hostile than death.
But they could not stop their own survival. For that is the curious thing of all creatures is their interest in self preservation. So they continued on, searching for something that they could never find.

The Bibliotica Paliphrates was first commissioned in the year 7.038.934 when the Imperator Calentaurus christened the Cult of Heleon to collect all knowledge ever known, creating the SMC [Stable Memory Construct] Paliphrates I. Paliphrates I was embedded in the Heleon Cult Flagship [Alteriac MI] from which Paliphrates I controlled as a CAI [Central Artificial Intelligence].

Singularity was the project Imperator Calentaurus created the Heleon Cult for. Singularity was a compendium of knowledge so vast an amazing that it was said it was impossible to create. Singularity contains all knowledge in the universe. Singularity was an SMC with little AI capability, but enough for comprehensive search and other necessary features of the nearest comparable InfoC [Information Constructs].
You may notice that the way I place my words indicates that Singularity is indeed real. And it is. We have created it, finished it. The infinite amount of information is stored in a series of parallel overlapping EM fields that produce infinite numbers of particles to store infinite bits of data, though it is still small enough to hold in your hand. Singularity was finished just today, and is already on its way to the Imperator’s palace in the Arctura System.]]

The Idea:

In the year is 271.993.746, there are a number of different factions in space vying to find and use the compilation of knowledge known as Singularity. You are the pilot of an astronautical vessel, and you are searching for singularity.

Creator's Note:

I was inspired to make this roleplay by one of my favorite games of all time, EVE Online. Because I'm too busy to play the actual game, I've made this RP to sort of... make up for it.
I would like to say that the plot, map, and all that sort of stuff is entirely original content made by me, Centronias.

The Factions:

The Confederacy of Causmonautical States (CCS) is a loose confederation of planet-states that center mainly around the [INSERT NAME HERE] sytem. They are a direct descedenct of the original Earther's Guild. Because of this, they hold the ideals of democracy and honor highly and like to maintain the independence of the individual states. They are widely believed to be the longest standing nation since some time around the year 149.743.183 when the Treatise of Confederation was signed.

The Systems United in Arms (UAS) is a militia-like organization of systems that come from the First Rebellion of the Solace Empire. Many people would call the UAS a terrorist state or a nation of savages, but their origins sugest that they merely wish to be left alone in business practices, which was the original cause of the First Rebellion of the Solace Empire.

Neo Cathwe (NC) is a nearly unchanged nation from the times before the founding of the Solace Empire. The only changes in the nation's history is their period of servitude to the Empire. Like the original Cathwe, Neo Cathwe keeps to itself, tending to be self sufficient, and contacting other nations only in times of dire need, and even then, never in person.

Empire Remnants (ER) is, as the name implies, what remains of the Empire of Solace. In the years before the official fall of the Empire, there was much internal conflict with who would continue on the legacy, who would be the Emperor. After the Emperor Pariah CXII died, his sons Malkovf III and Phriphates IX fought for the throne and Malkovf brutally murdered his brother not with the weapons which had become so popular, but with his bare hands after inviting him to dinner. Malkovf III ascended to be Emperor, and became Iernovf I, Emperor of Solace.
By that time, the Empire he controlled was little more than a central power with 7 satelite nations that we barely affiliated. Iernovf severed all ties, effectively ending the Empire of Solace. When the central citizens of the dead Empire realized they were no better than any of the people they had ruled over for millions of years, they fought amongst each other, creating the Second Rebellion of the Empire of Solace.
It took ten million years for another man to unify these systems into the fledgeling Empire Remnants.
