How much do you know about your energy flow or Chi?
Does it flow from head to toe, or spiral around, and what do chakras have to do with all of this and how does it affect your psychic abilities? I wanna see what you know about it

If I'm not mistaken (and correct me if I'm wrong since I've been up for hours) but to my understanding it flows both through us and around us, as well as every object in existence, mountains, the ground, the air, and water (yes I'm over looking some fairly important elements like metals and such). I've actually been concentrating more along the lines of Feung Shui lately so things may be a little out of sorts (man I need some sleep!)
As for chakras I'm not an expert (I'm still working on that aspect) they flow through the different points of your body, but the right stones should be used for the right job or you might create a psychic blockage, which comes from not doing it right and I've heard can be both painful and frightening. Anyway, I think that's about it for this insomniac xp

noticed on the votes that people were not sure if they could feel their chi or not.
So here is an expariment for everyone. First allow yourself to relax. Then hold your hands together in front of you for a second next hold them apart (length of a ruler is fine, but doesn't need to be exact) then very slowly bring them back together.
If it works, you should feel a small amount of pressure build between your hands, there may be some warmth or tingling, and some might actually see colour, lines or haze between their hands as you do this
That is your chi, energy (the colour and haze might be your aura) Let us know if that works for you
If you wish to feel your chakras slowly bring your hand to each area
your root is located at the base of your spine but easily felt between your legs and privates
The sacral is around your Belly Button
Solar plexus is just below your rib cage
Heart is mid chest
Throat is your neck
Brow is the middle of the forehead
and Crown is the very top of your head.

Now that I quit my job and have a new, less stressful job, I am happy to say that I CAN feel my chi once more. I'm going to be able to focus on the things *I* enjoy and I will be able to stay in a state of less stress which means less panic attacks. I still have them when I go into work, but thats just because I'm nervous since its a new job and I'm there all by myself.
I can now feel which of my chakras need some work. I can feel some of them spinning less...efficiently(?)...as others. Unfortunately, a lot of them are that way, but it shouldn't take much to get them back to normal.
Meditation helps the best. I simply focus in one area at a time and think of colors. Colors are the easiest and strongest for me being that I am most intuned with colors.
((By the way, its good to be back and I might be on a bit more at least once a week since I can hop on while its slow at work. Miss you guys!!!))

Ahh that I could relax...but since I'm about to have a critical meltdown from stress I might actually want to try a bit of meditation (in spite of the noise).
It's good to see you back up and about Raeden, I was getting a little concerned there...life being what it is and all.
And thanx Thyna, perhaps I'll give that a shot, because I've got to relax before I start college in late June or I'm not going to do well, which wouldn't just be a tragedy, it'd be an expensive catastrophe.

Thanx Thyna, I think I'll try it while my sister's at work and the neighbors are relatively quiet. What have I got to lose, besides a headache?

I will stand by my chakra meditation. I love it mostly because I love color.
Hmm, you might try a bit of Aromatherapy. Oils, Incense, perfume, bath salts/oils, candles (also unlit), even lotion. I've been reading a very little bit about aromatherapy, and really, just the calmness of a bath mixed with a nice light smell seems rather nice. heart

I'll vouch for that, incense unfortunately tend to cause my migraines to rear their ugly heads, but its nice when I can handle it, also the bath is lovely when I can be sure not to be bothered, and candles are good, especially the scented ones (as long as I'm not tired).
Now lotion, we have mixed results since I have that smell issue still going on which means baby powder can quickly smell like sawdust, and soap can smell like feces, so it's not really the most pleasant thing. Sometimes I have to wonder if it's not associated with an over active imagination stressed

Maybe it is an over-active imagination! I can see how lotion would be a bad thing though, to put it on and have it make you smell like flowers and the next minute...eww! Leaves you feeling self-conscious the rest of the day I'm sure! Even showers help sometimes...I took a nice HOT one the other day when my back was hurting...I felt bad because I was in there a while and I know that it wastes water...but...oh man it felt SOOO amazing! Relaxed the muscles and for a good while I forgot about my pinched nerve (which is back again, gar).

I agree, even though it can be a waste of water or a waste of time, hot showers are good, but I prefer a bath since I can listen to music while I soak. But showers can be fun and my back tends to like them both (which more often than not is the reason for them).
As for my imagination, well my psych insisted there's nothing wrong with my imagination, but then again she didn't really pay attention to what I said 50% of the time anyway.
Pinched nerves suck, especially since they really like to be completely inconvenient xp

Well chi is the chinese name for a vital energy that has many different names.
Wilhelm Reich the psychoanalist and psychologist coined the term "orgone" to describe something really similar to chi, but he basically treated it just like freud treated libido - in the context of psychotherapy The oldest name for it might be prana(which also means breath) which comes from the indian tradition of ayurveda The new age tradition (supposedly based on hawaiian shamanism) calls it "mana"
Well there are many, many techniques to feel energy and use it. The easiest might be quantum touch, and the easiest energy "psychotherapy" technique to master is without a doubt eft. www.emofree.com

I can sense my Chi, but my chakras were more difficult. It seemed like some of them weren't even there. I've been under immense stress lately, though, so chances are there's a correlation.
