Friday
On Friday we hung out at Tre’s house. We were supposed to go camping that night, but we were having too much fun hot tubbing and eating sushi to bother. whee



Maddy, Turkey Eyes, and the dogs were chillaxin’ on (and around) the couch.




(Turkey is currently being informed by a shiny, red, noise-makin’ thang, that the cow goes “moo”. ^_^)



Tre and Alana were in the kitchen making sushi. 4laugh Riva and I were in the kitchen eating all their sushi. blaugh







Then Tre got out a bunch of fabric scraps and whatnot and we worked on our Amazon costumes.

Then we dipped into the hot tub for a while, dragged our sleeping bags and stuff up to Tre’s room (which is way cool, by the way), watched Tre n’ Rivas Xena barbie movie, and hit the hay.




Saturday
Welcome to Amamzon country!



The site was very big and VERY isolated and it was right on the river! ^.^



We shimmied into our costumes right away. It’s was a lot of fun.
(But Alana lost her top, so she didn’t shimmy into her costume till later. T.T )







Then began the sun dance of the Amazons! surprised
(That's a graham cracker, that Turkey has in her mouth. rolleyes )



















Why yes. We are Amazon. And yes. We could kick your a**.

(Don’t ask us why there’s a person on our table. mrgreen )

No winner. They both quit after 2 rounds. rofl


ZOMFGBBQ! Amazons in the trees!
(Turkey actually fell asleep on that branch. It’s a miracle she didn’t fall into the river. ^^
Or maybe not…. Maybe it was AMAZON SKILLZ! whee )







We put this up on a stake along the shoreline, at our site.

We swam, we painted eachothers faces, we climbed tree’s, we sword fought, we played chakram frisbee, we napped, we cooked over the campfire, and at one point when it started raining suddenly, we grabbed our barley off the fire, huddled in the tent, and ate it out of the pan. 4laugh


Saturday night, we sat around the camp fire baking potatoes, reading ghost stories, playing music (we had a guitar and a couple bongo drums), talking about serial killers, yelling at fishermen, and speculating about the weird noises in the woods. (By the way ladies, it was a coyote. Not an owl. Not a ”manbeast” coming to kill us. A coyote.)
It was a great night. blaugh






















(Part way through the night, we ran oughta firewood, so Treana and I went out into the forest to saw up some dead tree's. But it had rained, so when we were wandering around out there (shoe-less) I stepped into a big old mud hole. mad p But I digress. ninja )



After a while, Riva got us kinda nervous, insisting that whatever was making the noise in the forest, was human. So we got ourselves revved up, armed ourselves with every weapon we had (which was a LOT), and readied ourselves for a fight. A couple people even yelled into the woods, daring him/it to attack the tribe. xd Later on, me, Riva, and Alana were so hyped up for a fight that we started wishing someone would attack, just so we could kick their a**. whee
The last of us meandered off to bed around 4am.




Sunday
We took a vote and decided to pack up on Sunday, to spend the last night at Tre’s house, where we could have our Xenathon. But we spent our last morning at the site well. ^_^

















Things picked up a bit as morning turned into afternoon. 3nodding

Tre’s dad came by to help us pack up. I like her parents. They’re good folk. 3nodding
(I just wish I’d gotten a pic of her mom too. xp )






















We kept saying we weren’t gonna go back in. We were just lying to ourselves all day. xd



















We ended up staying till early evening. mrgreen
I was sad to go, but it was fantastic while it lasted. 3nodding



On Sunday night, we had our sword fighting tournament! heart
(I have it on video, but it’s an old camera and I don’t think I can get it online. crying
But I’m gonna try to get my uncle to burn the tape into a DVD (he can do s**t like that xd ). If he does I can get it online and I’ll try to send a copy to everyone who was there. 4laugh )
Anyways, we played bongo drums and did all kinds of war cries, from the sidelines. twisted And we all had black war paint on our faces. And we fought in a ring, laid out in the middle of Tre’s street.
Since we had 6 people instead of 8, it was a little wonky with the tournament thing. sweatdrop One of the losers from the 1st round got a 2nd chance. (And she went on and beat me, the jerk! scream )

So here’s how it went…. (We drew names from a hat to see who would fight who.)
Round 1:
Riva vs. Turkey Eyes
Winner – Turkey
Liz vs. Alana
Winner – Liz
Treana vs. Vae
Winner – Tre

Round 2:
Turkey Eyes vs. Liz
Winner – Liz
Treana vs. Alana
Winner – Alana

Round 3:
To decide the Amazon queen.
Liz vs. Alana
Winner – ALANA

So Lala got the shmancy prize and became queen of our Amazon tribe. Much jumping, screaming, and scary war faces ensued. heart














Then Alana mixed up some Henna in the kitchen for Mhendi tattoos.


I got a scorpion on my hand. 4laugh


Then we went down to the basement and watched a buncha episodes of Xena. (Including some Amazon eps, of course. whee ) The next day we ate a yummy pancakey breakfast and then went our separate ways.
And thus, our Amazon adventure comes to an end.
