Van der Mullen's Biography
Character Name: Dr. Johannes Van der Mullen
Current time period: 1878 A.D.
Current place of origin: Vienna, Austria
Age: 44
Height: 168 cm
Weight: 64 kg
Species: Human
Physical Description: Dr. Van der Mullen is of medium build. He has medium length, straight black hair swept back away from his face and grey eyes. He sports a trim beard and a perpetual scowl. Despite his age, his hair shows no signs of graying.
Typical Dress: Dr. Van der Mullen wears typical late 19th gentleman's attire. a black frock coat with matching pants and vest, a cravatte, white gloves, and a pair of sturdy black shoes. His clothes are well-worn, and a bit faded, but not shabby. He carries a walking stick of cherry wood fitted with a plain brass knob.
Occupation: Professor of Mathematics
Magical or Supernatural Powers: None.
Brief History: Born the son of a prominent Dutch theologian, Johannes Van der Mullen's childhood was one of books, prayer, and quiet contemplation. A fall from a horse in his teenage years left his left leg permanently crippled, and so he began using a cane at a very young age. At University, he pursued degrees in mathematics and philosophy, and he quickly became regarded as one of the great up-and-coming thinkers. At the age of twenty-six, he was offered a position as professor of mathematics at Vienna University. That same year he met and married his wife, Klara. Colleagues whispered that he would be Chair of the Mathematics department before he reached 30.
Two years later, his wife died giving birth to their daughter. In his grief, Van der Mullen grew sullen and withdrawn, his work suffered, and he ceased publishing. Slowly the acclaim that had come so readily dwindled, until now, he is barely respected or tolerated in his department.
Brief Description of Personality: Van der Mullen abrasive, arrogant, and quick to anger. He believes in nothing that cannot be seen, heard, or felt, or proven mathematicly. A devout atheist, he has begun, but never finished, several works aimed at mathematically disproving the existence of God.
Beneath this gruff exterior, however, lies a vulnerable man, who is not without compassion. He is moved by undeserved acts of charity and sparks of genius.
Brief Description of Character Strengths and Weaknesses: Van der Mullen's greatest strength is also his greatest weakness. Simply put, he is too clever for his own good, and it is both a blessing and a curse.

Tarma's Biography
Character Name: Tarma Morgan Falloner
Current time period: The year of our Lord, 1312 AD
Current place of origin: Northburgh Castle; Inishowen, Northern Ireland.
Age: 30
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 138 lbs.
Species: Human
Physical Description: Tall for a woman of her time, Tarma's build could be described more accurately as stocky than muscular. A short white scar cuts her left eyebrow in two, looking as though whatever weapon caused it barely missed her eye. Her nose, once petite, looks as though it has been broken in the past and not healed quite straight. Despite this, the woman is not totaly unfortunate looking, with her high cheek bones, thick inky lashes, fair skin, and not completely unfeminine build inspite of the well toned muscle garnered from a soldiers life. Tarma is one of the infamous 'Black Irish', with the trademarked cobalt eyes as blue as the Kerry Lakes, and ebony hair that is kept hacked to a short length at all times. Her voice has an odd metalic burr to it, a subtle ring of command that she attempts to tone down in everday conversation, but slips occasionaly. Her voice is also graced with the lilting accents of her homeland, and her brogue can often be incomprehensible till you get used to it.
Typical Dress: Her style of dress usualy consists of men's clothing; breeches and boots, both in sturdy black leather, a loose white shirt often accompanied by a shirt of mail. A sword is always belted at her side; wrist sheaths holding well-balanced throwing daggers are strapped to her forearms beneath her shirt sleeves; other throwing daggers are tucked into her boots, beneath her belt at her lower back, and Gods knows where else. A silver hoop hung with a small bead of obsidian that hangs from her left earlobe, and a small silver cross hung on a finely hammered chain around her neck are her only adornments.
Occupation: Primarily a military woman; Jane-of-All-Trades as necessary. Captain of her regiment, nicknamed Falloner's Falcons.
Magical or Supernatural Powers: None.
Brief History: Born to Karen and William Falloner, Tarma grew up on an impoverished farm with two elder brothers(Thom and Jamie) and a family dog named puddle. At a young age, Tarma followed in the footsteps of her eldest brother Thom, joining up with the Earl's armies against the wishes of her widowed mother. She trained fiercely under a sergeant by the name of Gwideon Finley, a man who worked her hard to be sure she wouldn't buckle under the preasure of being one of the only female soldiers in the Earl's command. After five years of border duty, she recieved her her first promotion. In six she'd recieved her second, and a small command that became known as Falloner's Falcons. By the time she was twenty five, the woman had more military experiance under her belt than most men of fifty. The higher-up's knew her, and the men-at-arms respected her. After a particularly nasty, but successful coop fought alongside troops from other parts of Ireland where their borders meshed, the twenty-nine-year-old warrior found herself raised to the rank of Captain. A few of the gentry protested that not only was it unfitting for a woman to lead entire armies, but to have one so young was completely unacceptable. The support of the men-at-arms however, lay with Tarma. This loyalty grounded her, and made her whole. No family would ever be closed to her than the men she lead. The Red Earl himself had been watching her career closely, and personaly invited her and her regiment to guard his new stronghold, Northburgh castle. There she has served for a handful of years now, leading her troops and training up the new soldiers who get sent her way by her once-mentor Gwideon. Contrary to what most thought would happen, she never wed Gwideon, but continues her single soldiers life till the end.
Brief Description of Personality: Devoutly Catholic, Tarma holds a strong Faith in God doing Gods work, and men learning to leave well enough alone. Prayer and the occasional Sunday church visit are enough to sustain her, for she is not finatical in her beliefs. While normaly a woman with a balanced, practical attitude towards situations, Tarma leans towards optimism to get her through the worst of trials. However, it grates on her that she is growing older; she is unwed, not likely to be, and soon her soldiers life will grow more difficult with the on-set of age. She sometimes feels that she is losing her purpose in life, that soon she will be useless to her men. Despite this secret fear, she is often jovial in nature, joking around as crassly as the men-at-arms, and teasing the newest recruits. There is a kindness and compassion running deep beneath the often gruff exterior of the old soldier, and though her temper is fiery when ignited, she is always looking out for those she considers her responsibility. Duty, honor, obligation; three words that are most Holy in Tarma's vocabulary.
Brief Description of Character Strengths and Weaknesses:
[Strengths]
Comander: Ever one to take charge with her no-nonsense attitude, Tarma is a born leader, one given to excellent troop organization and ingenious battle strategem. Her followers respect her; her enemies fear her.
Swordswoman: This is the art into which she was born, the art for which she swore her life to, and subsequently the art in which she excells. Trained from a young age along side her brothers, she is greatly skilled, and while she has the disadvantage of strength when up against most men, her speed more than makes up for it.
Bladework: Tarma can and will use her other weapon of choice if her sword wont serve: daggers. The throwing blades she uses were forged by her own hand, well-balanced blades fitted perfectly to her, with custom black laquered hilts. How many of these she truly carries is uncertain; it seems the woman is always pulling one from somewhere the eye cannot follow.
Archery: Our well-rounded soldier is also a fair shot with a bow and arrow, though it is not her weapon of choice.
Quarterstaff: Aye, and she knows one end of a staff from the other too. Quite the talented little weaponsmistress, our Tarma.
Rudimentary Field Skills: These are skills all soldiers posses in a certain degree; forestry, tracking, hunting, cooking, caring for minor wounds and broken limbs. She rides well enough to keep her saddle in battle; that logic applies to all tasks Tarma sets herself to. The woman is as good as a situation requires her to be...even when she's not.
Harp: Ornately carved in polished oak that never loses it's fine sheen under Tarma's watchful care, the instrument has a deep, pleasant sound to it. It was crafted by her father's hands, and he played it until the day he left, leaving it in hers. It is the only item of sentiment she ever carries, and it would be more than your life was worth to bring harm with it.
[Weaknesses]
Fear of Failure: Self explainatory. She feels that if she fails as a soldier and comander, she has failed in life. Sometimes this self-doubt can hold her back.
Reading and Writting: Tarma can't even write her own name, as she was not educated in the formal sense. Her skills lie in the physical and strategem.

Brief Description of Personality: You're standing in it, mate. Brief Description of Character Strengths and Weaknesses:
"Whatever his appearence, Cross is an excellent tactition and a man quite capeable of thinking on his feat. He can size up a situation within minutes and then make the appropriate descisions at his liesure. He is faire as any man with a sword (though a cavelry sabre seems an unweildy choice at sea.) and I have seen first hand his incredible accuracy with pistol or musketoon and thanked the Good Lord for disuading him from turning his fire upon me or my men. Whether this was just a whim or in his character I do not know. For he is a pirate.. and as such he is subject to greed, pride, and an utterlack of propriety. still. he had chance to slay my crew to a man when we struck the rocks... and he did not take it. though if the situation were reversed.. I know I would not have taken such a chance in allowing him to escape..."

Character Name: Andrew “Andy” Parker AKA Eclipse
Current time period: Autumn 2007
Current place of origin: Earth, northern California (only slightly different history than our own)
Age: Dec 17, 1989 - July 28, 2007 17
Height: 5’9”
Weight: 124 lbs and rather scrawny looking prior to the crash. Estimated to be around 200 lbs after artificial limbs and implants.
Species: Human - cyborg
Physical Description: His hair was an unidentifiable shade between blonde and brown that could really go either way, and tended to be messy no matter what he tried to do with it. He was always small growing up, with soft brown eyes, and skin that could never properly tan. The left side of his face has the first of many exposed cybernetic implants, which connects to his brain stem and allows him to control his mechanical limbs. The left eye is also an implant, with a glass cover painted to match the natural brown right eye that remains. His left arm is mechanical from the elbow down, with a mix of machine and living flesh for the upper part. The same goes for his right leg, and his left leg was replaced from the hip down. In total, only about 50% of his original body remains while the rest was replaced, including some internal organs that were too badly damaged to heal properly. His skin is heavily scarred around the areas where machine meets flesh.
Typical Dress: He chose to dress in nondescript clothing most of the time, favoring jeans and plain t-shirts when not in his school uniform. Normally it will be a loose outfit that he can easily dress himself with (such as a loose t-shirt and relaxed-fit jeans) and a pair of white sneakers, but on a day that he goes outside he will also wear a hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, and gloves (in case of accidentally being seen). When doing superhero work, he wears black with a red sunburst on the chest, similar to Luana’s.
Occupation: Ex-Student, Sidekick, Dr. McColn’s lab rat
Magical or Supernatural Powers: Andy had always been a quiet child, but he did have one unique ability. He could project his thoughts in such a way that body language and speaking were not always necessary for him to communicate. Lu was the one who was best able to receive those signals, though not the only one. However Andy could not read minds or receive signals from non-psychics. This is in addition to the abilities gained from his partially mechanical body. Those parts are bullet-resistant, the strength of his left hand is many times greater than that of an average human, he has different forms of enhanced vision with his artificial eye, etc. Later on, the drugs he takes to make it easier for his body to support the heavy arm also increase his muscle mass, making the human parts of him that remain stronger as well.
Brief History: For the first two years of their lives, Lu and Andy ate, slept, and played together 24/7, and it was impossible to separate them without both screaming at the tops of their lungs. Eventually they got used to the idea that they could live in separate houses and still see each other every day. After Andy’s mother, Natalie, died in a car accident when he was four years old, Lu's grandparents refused let the McColns hire anyone to care for the little ones, and took care of Lu and Andy instead. Andy and Lu grew up together, went to the same school (the McColns paid for both of them), and worked on their rockets and flying machines with the neighboring cousins Penny and Sam Wise. Tragedy struck in late July of 2007 in the form of a malfunctioning flyer that Andy was piloting. The funeral was scheduled for Tuesday, July 31, 2007. He almost didn’t survive the crash. Documents were falsified and a weighted coffin buried in order to make it appear that he had died, while Dr. Liam McColn and a trusted assistant worked in the lowest sublevel of his home to save Andy’s life by using experimental technology to turn him into the cyborg that he is now. He continues to live in the sublevels of the McColn household, and fights by Luana’s side whenever they go out to face the unnatural enemies that have become active since Roger, Dr. and Mrs. McColn gave up super-hero work.
Brief Description of Personality: Andrew was a polite, albeit shy young man, content for the most part to live in the background of his friends’ lives. He never put his own needs over those of people he cared about. He usually avoided strangers unless someone he trusted was nearby. Andrew is frustrated by the sudden change in his life. He hates any reminder that he is not as human as he used to be. Only after dying to the world does he realize just how much he had that is now lost. He is impatient, especially with himself. He is still quiet, but not nearly as shy as he was before. Once he begins to gain his strength, he also takes it upon himself to protect his friends, especially Luana, from anything he perceives as a threat. With his newly found power, he does not hesitate to use violence to do so.
Brief Description of Character Strengths and Weaknesses: Andrew was afraid of strangers, so he tended to stay even quieter around them than he normally was. Given time he was capable of making new friends, but it was not easy for him. He was also so afraid of spiders that he actually froze up when he saw one. Mentally, he was Luana’s equivalent in ability, however not in curiosity or obsession. He always stays by his friends, and would never leave someone else behind. For the first few days after waking, Andrew has trouble with memory recall. He blames his father and Dr. McColn for not letting him die, and instead putting him through what he at first thinks of as a living hell. He doesn’t like being touched, especially not when it comes to his mechanical limbs (for reasons other than maintenance). He has serious doubts about God, but goes along with what Luana says for her sake. While many might assume that having mechanical limbs would immediately give him an advantage physically, it is in fact difficult for Andrew to get used to using them. Also, the kinks have yet to be worked out of all the machinery, including the pieces replacing certain organs, so there are many pauses when he speaks due to the difficulty he has with breathing and speaking at the same time, along with the occasional minor malfunction.

He has been hired by the US government to assasinate rogue Mexican generals and indian geurilla leaders. And he has retrieved property deeds and valuable objects for Wells Fargo. It is unknown if money is his only motivation for this line of work, however, as he carries out his job with ruthless efficiency, takes his payment... then dissapears....
Magical or Supernatural Powers: He has no supernatural abilities per se, but he does possess an uncanny ability to bled in with his surroundings... supposedly a trick picked up during his time with the cherokees

In that year, the first year of the American Civil War, a 19 year-old Gunsinger volunteered for service in the union army. He quickly moved through the ranks goeing from private to sargeant in a matter of a few months. Not long after that he became a member of the vaunted first sharpshooters regement, the "tree frogs." However, the union brass did not trust him, due to his fraternity with the Cherokee, and the operation was intended to be a suicide mission. Gunsinger not only completed the mission objectives... but he returned home alive. The army's trust restored in him, they continued to use him as an espionage operative until the end of the war.... when Gunsinger left the army... He headed south first and tried settling down just outside of indian territory... but thepeaceful life didn't suit him.. and the southerners resented him... so he moved west... and began liveing the only way he knew how.
Brief Description of Personality: Gunsinger is outwardly very cold... he rarely says much and tends to keep his distance from people... mostly out of habbit... you never know where your next job is comeing from in the territories and a man may be your neighbor one day... and your target the next. that isn't to say he chooses his work indescriminantly.... if he has to kill someone he tends to make cetain theres a good reason for it... he might be a killer but he's not a murderer... though Gunsinger himself will tell you there is a damn site fine line between the two. Overall he's a cautious man who chooses his friends carefully. He carries with him the grim countinence of a man who has seen hell.. shared it with his friends.. and been the only man to walk away from it. And even on thoses occasions where he does smile.. there is something menacing about it... "like the smile of the wolf."
Brief Description of Character Strengths and Weaknesses: Ezekiel Gunsinger is a highly trained military sniper.. and an expert iun revolvers, rifles, and other small arms. He knows the greater part of the westen territories like the back of his hand. Character Name: Felicity Jane Lockhart (sometimes goes by Jane Murphy or any number of other surnames)
Current time period: 1887, A.D. (Fall)
Current place of origin: Eastern New Mexico (Currently the town of Las Vegas)
Age: 26
Height: 5'6"
Weight: Average, unknown for certain.
Species: Human
Physical Description: Much to her chagrin, Felicity often finds it hart to blend into a crowd despite her average height and build. She has a pretty face, which is sometimes overshadowed by the rest of her appearance-- odd to some, overly plain to others. Her blonde hair is probably her most unusual feature, cut almost short enough to be a small boy's haircut. Her eyes are a comparatively nondescript brown, and the only distinguishing feature on her face itself is a small birthmark below her right eye.
Typical Dress: Her clothes may have been expensive or at least nice-looking at some point, but have been worn out, torn and mended (albeit neatly) in so many places, it's clear that she is making them last, whether out of desire or necessity. Above all, they are plain and modest, in dull shades that probably stem from a desire to not stand out in a crowd. She is most often seen wearing a white high-necked shirt, long burgundy skirt (a few inches shorter than the norm, to allow for easier movement), matching jacket and a plain brown vest. She is never found without a complete (doctored) deck of cards in one of her pockets, as well as several other individual cards secured in various other places on her person. She also wears scuffed traveling boots, a wide-brimmed hat, and carries around a large carpetbag containing her few belongings, seemingly ready to leave town at any time.
Occupation: A traveling card sharp, she is currently looking for a job dealing cards for someone crooked enough to let her cheat for the establishment, in return for lodging and assurance that no one else will know-- the usual deal.
Magical or Supernatural Powers: None
Brief History: Felicity was born as the second child of six to a poor family on the outskirts of St. Louis, Missouri, in a small community commonly referred to as 'Endsville' due to its staggering population of old has-beens and others at the end of their careers, lives, or both. During her childhood, Felicity and her siblings took odd jobs around the neighborhood as soon as they were old enough to earn some money. This arrangement worked out rather well, and in her mid-teens Felicity was hired as a cleaning- and errand-girl for an old professional card player in the neighborhood, the grumpy, child-hating Mr. Andrew Murphy. Mr. Murphy, though at first deeming the kid 'young and stupid,' soon became something of a mentor for her and her siblings. Eventually the three oldest Lockhart siblings (Felicity, her older brother Leopold and younger brother Jonas) were visiting Mr. Murphy to run errands, learn lessons, and play cards. He deemed that Leo and Jonas didn't show enough interest in the art of card sharping to learn it properly, so he reluctantly chose Felicity as the recipient of his teachings, despite her being a girl and therefore decidedly weaker than her brothers. He taught her everything he knew, from marking the cards as discreetly as possible to identifying nearly-invisible marks from across a table to remaining anonymous and properly denying any accusations. Armed with this new knowledge, Felicity left to seek her fortune in the West (following Jonas, who had run away years before, and Leo, who had gone to find him and never returned), hoping to make something of herself. Five years and numerous near-death experiences later, she still cheats as her main source of income, believing it's the only thing she's really good enough at to make a living on. She's had her fair share of misery and misfortune, and it still affects her on dismal winter nights, but for the most part she manages to suppress any memories she wishes to, getting by at least until her next depressive cycle. It truly depends on how she feels toward a certain person whether or not she'll share whatever's on her mind, but sometimes she does just feel like talking-- most often after having a drink or two, which is why she avoids it as much as possible.
Brief Description of Personality: Felicity is generally an amiable person, appearing cheerful, friendly and even dizzily absent-minded in most situations. She tries not to make waves with people, remaining for the most part calm and indifferent even if she doesn't particularly agree with them. However, she possesses a sharp, analytical mind that surfaces in times of need, and one of the things that she hates most is to be underestimated outside of a card game. She has a deep desire to prove herself capable of surviving on her own, and will hardly tolerate disrespect. However, her travels have also left her nearly paranoid, and while she outwardly seems carefree and distant at first, she is constantly looking over her shoulder for the people she's offended in her travels who would like to settle a score, sometimes sitting up all night if she thinks a threat is imminent.
Brief Description of Character Strengths and Weaknesses: Felicity's most obvious skill is her ability to play and cheat at most card games, as long as she has the right deck of cards. She can also read and write well enough to get a point across, and possesses the unusually sharp eyes and steady hand that make it possible for her to do what she does for a living. However, she also has a tendency toward cowardice and an immense fear of death. Although she'll try to reason her way out of a bad situation, if threatened enough she'll go along with anything in hopes of staying alive. She also carries no weapons except a small derringer pistol, which she barely knows how to use and keeps just for desperate situations.

When Sato smiles, it tends to be a crooked half smile, lending well to her cynicism.
Typical Dress: Sato's typical dress is her BRU or Battle Ready Uniform. This consists of her nearly skintight red and black flightsuit, her utility belt, which includes the holster for her sidearm, the standard issue Mach III Plasma Generated Pulse Blaster, and her blue and red flight helmet. Sometimes she will also wear her flight ready jacket, a baggy and loose fitting half size jacket sporting red, blue, and black.
For more detail:
The Flight Suit - The skintight flightsuit is made of an incredibly strong fabric that is nearly impossible to tear. It's also incredibly flexible, and has nanomechanical devices woven into the fabric. These nanomachines serve a myraid of purposes, from regulating body temperature to monitoring heart activity. The proccess of incorporating these machines gives the fabric a smooth feel and look, a high glossy sheen, like latex. It's red, with a thick black line running down both sides, up and down the length of the side of the arms and legs. On each shoulder is imprinted the logo for her unit, A lightning bolt on top of a globe encircled by a wreath. Built into the suit on the left wrist is a small flexible panel which allows the monitoring of the suits system functions. The panel flips up to reveal a screen that's used for monitoring and control.
The Helmet - Sato's helmet is originally red in color, with a connector on the bottom that allows it to be fastened, via a "sleeve" that fits around the neck, to the flightsuit to create an airtight cover which is especially important in space battles. The helmet has a visor in the front with a glare lens built in that slides in and out of the helmet itself underneath the actual visor material at the press of a button. This glare lens allows the user to see out, but nothing else to see in. It also reflects harmful light emissions. Sato's helmet has been painted over largely in blue, by its previous owner, the man that she succeeded. It's painted to resemble a face, with two large black dots for eyes spaced to the top and sides of the helmet. Due to the way it was painted blue, in small overlapping circles drawn at differing times, people have claimed that it has a "scaled" look. For this reason, many members of the AEDF have begun to refer to it as the "Fish Helmet". For whatever reason, Sato has never removed the paint.
The Flight Jacket - The flight jacket is made of a rough and tough leathery material. It hangs free around the shoulders and only reaches to the small of the back. It has no buttons on the front and is designed to hang open, like a vest. Typically, flight jackets are black, with a thick red line running down the arm, the opposite color pattern used by the flightsuit. The Flight Leader, however, is the exception. Sato's jacket is blue in color, with a red stripe down the right side of the front of the jacket and a black stripe down the middle of the back. On the front of the jacket is pinned all the badges and bars Sato has recieved during her military career. On the back of the jacket is emlazeoned the division logo, with the words above in red, Lt. Sato
Miscellaneous - Sato also wears brown flight gloves for improved grip. Her flight boots are black and carry the same sheen as the flight suit and can also be sealed to the suit

Occupation: Sato is a Lieutenant in the AEDF or Allied Earth Defense Force's Fourth Division, ATU (Advanced Tactical Unit). The ATU is an expreimental unit, which tests prototype mecha in realtime combat. Sato is the Unit Commander and Flight Leader for her team of five people. She pilots the test mecha "Badger", a Gundam Mobile Mech made specifically with very high offensive capabilities and heavy armor. It functions to basically cut a swath in a group of enemies to allow for better tactical positioning. The badger is designed to be piloted by two, one for navigation and one for weapons, but Sato has reworked the system so that she can pilot it by herself.
Magical or Supernatural Powers: None
Brief History: Ichiro was born into the Sato family, a very patriarchal military family with a long history of having strict standards and high expectations from its members. Sato was the firstborn and heir to the family, thus it was expected that she would be a boy. When this didn't happen, her father was so enraged that he named her Ichiro (meaning first born son) anyway. This was to be typical of her childhood. Growing up, Sato was in a bad situation. She was raised as a boy, but never accepted as if she had truly been one. She went to camp with the boys, wore boys clothes, and walked and talked like a boy. When her mother died while Sato was six, it got even worse. Her father would keep her up all night practicing military drills and formations, quizzing her constantly on battle history, tactics and procedures. Sato never rebelled against any of this treatment, even during her preteen and teen years. While Sato may have been an obedient little soldier to her father at home, at school she was a holy terror. Her odd upbringing was having its toll on her, especially in public and social situations where she had little to no sense of what to do. When Sato started to find that she liked boys, she'd react in a boyish manner and pick on them, often getting into fistfights. When she started to find that she liked girls, she started to shy away from them. All of this bewilderment and confusion came to a head when she turned 16. On her birthday, Sato signed up for the Allied Earth Defense Force's Advanced Soldier Training Course. This was a way for the AEDF to get younger recruits to train vigorously for use in higher risk jobs in exchange for a better selection from said jobs when they joined the AEDF properly. Sato was caught completely off guard when her father, who had groomed her for military service since she could remember, flew into a rage at her decision. He was of the mind that women had no place in the military. That Ichiro was to be a housewife or a secretary. This was more than she could handle. Her father tried to stop her from leaving, and in the course of the struggle, Sato shot him three times in the chest. Though her father was not killed and even lied to the authorities that he had been shot by an intruder, Sato cut all ties to the family and vowed to never return. A promise she has kept to this day. Sato excelled in the AEDF training program. She turned out to be every bit as tough as she was raides to be. She was a natural tactician, an excellen marksman, and an even better pilot. Though her grating personality didn't make her any friends, she found solace in her constant competition with the second ranking member of their class, a man by the name of Jin Kadakawa. During a real time combat exercise, Jin's mech caught on fire and Sato pulled him out before it exploded. Ever since then the two have been the best of friends, nearly inseperable. Sato graduated the top student for her year in the program, having broken nearly all records held since the program started, with Jin graduating in second place right behind her. The both of them were transferred to the AEDF's tactical warfare 4th Division as standard mech pilots. Sato was an excellent pilot, as one would have expected, but her potential was being held back both by the limitations of the old mech units which they were given to pilot as well as the foolish orders given by her superiors. This was all about to change. The rumor is that that General Jack Tucker, appointed to the just formed 4th Division's Advance Tactical Unit for the realtime battle testing of experimental units, was about to give up on trying to find someone to be his Squadron Commander when he chanced upon Sato preparing to suit up in one of the armada launching bays. There was a commotion as a security detachment was having trouble restraining a captured enemy pilot. Hearing the scuffle outside Sato came out, still only half dressed, and without a word drew her sidearm and shot the pilot in the head. Tucker immediately knew that he had found his Squad Commander. At this time, Sato retains the job as AEDF 4th Divion ATU's Squadron Commander, a position which, much like the future of the whole squadron, is tentative at best, and only retained through a history of constant and unprecedented successes.
This is Ichiro Sato's life.
Brief Description of Personality: Ichiro Sato is a pessimist, a realist, and a cynic. She leads dual lives in a way. While on duty she's a tough, no nonsense leader who doesn't respond well to mistakes of any kind. When off duty she's a fatalistic pleasure seeker, out for a good time and always ready to party hard. The two areas of her life overlap on some levels though. She's dangerous. She's willing to take insane risks. She's as addicted to adrenaline, to death and destruction, as she is to alcohol. Sato is a true child of war, born and bred to know nothing else, and she wallows in conflict like a pig in mud. This is not to say that Sato doesn't have real reasons behind what she does. She holds her bonds with the people she cares about as the most important things in her life. They're more important to her than even her own life. She'd sacrifice herself without hesitation for any member of her team. For Jin, she'd even betray the AEDF ensuring a lifetime in prison and possibly even execution. She'd break any law in existence if it would benefit a friend. Sadly, this is something that she tends to do without reason anyhow. Probably due in part to the way that she was raised, Sato feels extreme discomfort with taking orders of any kind, and usually takes any opportunity possible to defy them. A true rebel, she routinely breaks any rule or regulation on a whim. She tends to seem unconcerned with the repercussions that her actions may cause, especially to others. Sato has had more complaints filed against her to the AEDF central command than any other entire DIVISION. She is routinely arrested by AEDF security for starting fights or firing her sidearm in civilian sectors and for unpermitted personal reasons. This may be compounded by the fact that she has a very short temper. Sato tends to live her life fast whether she's piloting The badger or at the bar for drinks. She thinks fast and acts faster, often landing her in trouble of one kind or another. She's quick to choose an emotion in any situation and she's never shy about showing that emotion for all to see. Sato is not one to hide her feelings. Instead she tends to browbeat those around her with them. She tends to be crude and abraisive. It's just her way.
Brief Description of Character Strengths and Weaknesses: Sato is a brilliant tactician, an excellent shot, and a genious pilot. She reacts fast can force herself to stay calm in high stress situations like battle. Unfortuantely, Sato's not thr friendliest of people. When it comes to smaller, non battle related things, she tends to lose her temper quickly. Sato holds very little regard to anyone's life, including her own, with the exception of people that she cares about. She is not above meaningless cruelty or derisiveness by any stretch of the imagination. She tends to be self centered and even on occasion shallow.
