Nodding politely in reply to Gizmo, Jax folded the packet closed and tucked it away in his pocket. "I don't want a thing," he replied dryly. And then pausing, he laughed, raising a brow. "Lucky told you that, did she? Well, sorry to bust your bubble, but I've nothing of the sort in mind. Not towards you, anyway. I've set my sights elsewhere."

"Oh, really?" Kilah's eyebrows raised, almost suspiciously. "What's his name?" Ah, such a sweet girl smartass.

"Akiiiilllaaahhh!"

"Oh, ********." The Sin'aeis went pale. Pale enough that it was noticeable even with her skin tone, that was unusually discolored as it was. She winced as if someone had hit her, grinding her teeth together. Even with the added noise, the voices were definately getting closer. "Don't you say a word!"

From her pocket she pulled various gems and scattered them to the ground. With a muttered spell, each of them shattered, and the pieces vanished. With a small 'pop' and a cloud of smoke, Kilah was no longer Kilah--rather, a teenage girl about Jaxom's age with blonde curls and bright blue eyes.

Without hesitation, she jumped up and wrapped her arm and Jax's neck, glancing over her shoulder just in time to see the two reach them. Guards, psh. Momoro's guards. Well... now just island guards, since he was gone.

"Excuse us," the female of the two apologized. Her eyes flickered over Gizmo--now a large, oddly colored dog--then back to them. "Have you--"

"Like, do you mind?" 'Kilah' spoke in the rudest way one could, sticking her nose up. "We're like, busy." Saying this, she cuddled her face into Jax's shoulder and then sharply turned back around and stuck her tounge out.

"Oh, I see..." The woman didn't sway, rather made a sour face. "Forgive us." Motioning for the other to follow, she left.

Once both were out of sight, Kilah let go of Jax and sighed in relief. "Oh my God."

Witty little wench, this one. Jaxom began to reply, but fell silent with the call and Kilah's order, blinking vaguely at her. "O...ka--"

And suddenly Kilah wasn't Kilah anymore, and there was a blonde half strangling him. Which meant Kilah clearly wanted nothing to do with these people, and that he should play along. He sighed.

Fixing a scowl on his face, he looped an arm around Kilah's waist and glared at the guards as they approached, remaining silent as instructed until they had gone. Only then relaxing, he sighed and shook his head, turning his eyes to the blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl beside him. "So...what was that all about? On the run from the law, Kilah dear?"

"Don't you know, Jaxom?" Kilah asked flatly, glaring at nothing. "Anyone who likes me ends up dead." She stepped back until her back hit the wall, then slid down to sit on the ground. The same actions as before--a pop, smoke--and Kilah was Kilah again.

"Wark!" Gizmo complained in a growl, back to his old self as well.

"Sorry Giz," she apologized sincerely. "There's just not enough people running around with griffon who bark like dogs and have tails constantly on fire, ya know?" Chuckling, she fixed her blindfold. Damn thing was always falling out of place.

"Anyway," she continued, speaking to Jaxom this time, "Momoro's gone. Dead, no doubt. Just vanished techniqually, but you know how that s**t works out. They want me to come "rule" that stupid island now."

"Not much cause for you to have friends then, is it?" He replied just as bluntly, dropping to the ground beside her. "I'll have to start watching for assassins."

He watched curiously as she changed back to herself, glancing over to Gizmo in the hopes that some sign of the change might remain. He hadn't actually bothered to look for a difference before. But no change was forthcoming and he soon returned his attention to Kilah. "So, the fox boy's gone. Lyrus'll be happy to hear that." Assuming he ever found Lyrus. Actually, Jax was rather happy to hear it himself.

"But you ruling..." He quirked a brow, frowning. "Why should you rule? You never actually married the guy, and you're not even from the island."

"If anyones going to kill you, it'd be me, so don't bother wasting your eyesight---I wouldn't if I had it." The Sin'aeis yawned and tucked her arms behind her head, leaning lazily back. "Actually, I'd like it if Lyrus didn't know. The long thing Momoro ever did was bite him, and he deserved it. I told him not to get to close to that cage. I'll be damned if he ever listens."

Shrug. "They wanted Noharu to do it. A few months ago, she'd have jumped at the chance no doubt, but she turned it down. I guess because of that Karoko girl, that's all she seems to care about anymore." It was creepy, really. She still had a hard time picturing it... or whatever.

"They're all going crazy, I guess. They just want to use me as a trophy until they get someone better. They don't want everyone to flip out and go back to throwing babies into volcanoes, I guess."

"Well, that's reassuring." He didn't sound particularly worried. Her yawn provoked one of his own, and as it passed her called Calt back to his shoulder; the flit had fled when Kilah had turned blonde. Transfering the blue to his hand, he lightly scritched Calt's eyeridge, earning and pleased croon from the little creature. "I won't tell Lyrus."

He rolled his eyes, slumping back against the wall. "Well that's stupid. Noharu can say no, but you can't? And she's actually from there?" He made a face. "Completely unreasonable."
