.---. well the problem with good short animes is that even if the writer wrote it, it doesn't matter who, if a big company doesn't own it [like clamp/shounen jump/ skip beat? XD] people can easily take that anime and it won't even belong to the writers

why the manga may still be ongoing idk bout the us stuff =A=
No one takes your art form seriously on account of the millions of self proclaimed "manga-ka" who draw nothing but Naruto and Vocaloid chibis.
It's near impossible to get published in the US because the few companies that publish in the US are almost never accepting submissions.
It's near impossible to get published in Japan (For people from the US since so much money is involved and your Japanese has to be perfect) As well as for Japanese people only because their are so many people submitting.
If by some slim chance you DO get published...the chances of your manga being canceled are extremely high , the pay is low (800 a month most of which goes to supplies and paying assistants) So you can only really get a decent income if A. you are running more then one manga or B. You are extremely successful.
After you ARE published...except for the original idea the manga no longer actually BELONGS to you and you write what the editor you get tells you to write. (though if you get as far as the selling of collection books instead of just weekly magazines you get royalties from those sales)
You also have no control over what happens if you manga gets turned into an anime. They can have the same story name and characters with the same names and have it be a completely different plot.
Also...if you DON'T go to a publishing company and attempt to self publish...unless you are extremely successful at this you will make far less money then if you were published.
You'd basically be giving everything you write away for free.

The anime is great, and i hear there supposed to be releaseing more to it in nov...i think, heard its supposed to have all the way up to ikki and ringos king/queen fight

i have no problem with the anime and all but i like the manga way more because you can get in to each character it has each ones back story.
