Delphi watched them and raised an eyebrow. "Um, bye?" She said and closed the door. As soon as she did, Viper bit her. She yelped in pain. "I-I forgot t-to feed you again, d-didn't I?" She stammered. Viper hissed at her and nodded. She slowly walked to put Viper in its cage and fed it. She looked at the bite wound. She bit her lip and tried to stay calm. She felt the venom course through her painfully. She still wasn't yet immune to Viper's bites. She held her breath to prevent screaming. She searched around for a pen and paper. She started writing.
Look for a purple bottle, it's in the box under my bed. I need the antidote ASAP. I'm not gonna die, just going to be paralyzed and unable to talk. Just splash it on the bite wound on my wrist. The code for the lock is v48yr

After she finished writing, she laid on the bed feeling numb. She cursed to herself. Her mind turned blank. The paper floated to the floor.

Amethyst had gone back to sleep, sleeping through the neighbors visit. Her mistress' yelp roused her, however, and after a few minutes of sifting through the haze that clouded her mind after such a long sleep and so little food, she stood, and walked over to where the sound had come from. She gasped as she saw her mistress looking sick on the bed. She picked up the piece of paper lying on the ground, read it quickly, and then quickly looked under the bed for the box mentioned. She entered the code, found the bottle, and splashed some on the wound as instructed. She waited anxiously, then.

As soon as the antidote was splashed on, Delphi shut her eyes and coughed. Her mind was cloudy and her eyes when she opened them were emotionless. She looked up to see Amethyst. She nodded while still coughing. Her face started getting pale. "T-thanks." She mumbled before stumbling to the bathroom. She put on a smile and gave Amethyst a pat on the shoulder as she past her. She locked the bathroom door.

Amethyst's eyes shone confusion as she walked to stand beside the bathroom door. "Mistress? Are you alright?" She called in a soft voice through the wood. Did I do something wrong? I followed the instructions... Her eyes widened fearfully at that thought. I hope Mistress Delphi won't punish me... She stared down at her feet, looking as humble and sad as anyone could.

Delphi looked from her mirror image to the door. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just the side effects to the antidote." She replied. Soon her face would turn back to normal... in a few hours. "Nothing to worry about." She added. She coughed again.

"Alright, Mistress. Do you mind if I go back to sleep? I would like to be well rested for the next time you require my help." Amethyst requested, leaning against the wall, sighing quietly. She was just so tired lately... lack of food, maybe? But she had gone for a long time without food before, although maybe not this long...

"I don't mind, you can. Thank you again, Amethyst." Delphi responded to her. She sighed and soon left a few minutes later. "I'll be gone. Don't know when I'll be back." She said. She rambled to the door and left.

"Alright." Amethyst murmured, returning to her bed. She half-lay, half collapsed onto it, and was out again in moments, curling into a ball again. Her arms wrapped tightly around her legs, and her hair covered most of her body. She wondered whether her mistress had realized she hadn't fed her slaves, either.
