Arrikanez, still with child, was contentedly lazing in the sunshine in the middle of a park he'd found. It was a nice place, with just enough shade and just enough people to make it feel a bit like home. He wasn't feeling well today, though, and he wasn't much able to enjoy the sun and social aspects - just the shadows playing tag on his eyelids was relaxing enough, and Willow didn't seem to be much in the mind to moving either.

The small child that had traversed here with Arri was cradled in a fork of branches halfway up the tree that Arri rested under. He took in the surrounding scenery with a serene, calm attitude that would be better suited in a wise old man, and not a toddler. However, Willow was that way, and nothing really seemed to phase him. Birds and squirrels darting by him were met with interest... but no real desire to chase or capture. He was simply content to be in that tree, watching over his sickly guardian. Arri was the perfect father, so far as Willow was concerned. His eyes had the soft look of a half-drowse... although he was very wide awake. He was simply biding his time. Waiting for someone to happen upon him.

Reshmi was tucked away something, hidden from sight of everyone but where he could keep an eye on the little brat that he'd brought here to play. He gave a little glare at Lorcan as the kid circles around one of the trees, growling and swinging a long stick up at it in hopes of knocking one of the tasty animals up there free. He was growling, snarling, and looking rather put out but the idea that he couldn't get at them when he was so hungry!

He paused for a moment sniffing at the air as did the faces located on either of his shoulders before he turned to look about in a curious manner. He could smell... something. What was that scent? He gave a low grumbling sound as he let the stick fall to the ground though as he went in search of who the scent belonged to he drug it along with him. If whatever or whoever was out there looked tasty maybe he could take them out with the stick? He grinned a bit at the idea showing many sharp teeth.

He would show him! He would show that worthless jerk that took care of him, well... kept him from being killed or getting lost not exactly looking after him... He gave a huffing sound at the mere thought of his 'parent'.

Two large odd eyes peered down at Lorcan from Willow's perch in the tree he was circling. Arri was too far gone to realize there was another child looking at his precious one, but Willow had no fear of this other. Despite the growling and posturing, the tree-child was willing to bet that this boy swinging a stick was just as eager for something to happen as he was... if not so calm about it. He also appeared to be hungry, the way he was eying the creatures in the trees as though they'd be a welcome early lunch.

Quietly and quickly, Willow climbed down from his spot, and offered a soft smile to the growling one. Mind, he kept his distance... but this was too interesting a meeting to pass up. And quite an odd child was Willow himself. He looked like a tree, with bark-patterns on his skin, long, slender fingers, and the tatters of a robe that barely covered the thin frame. Arri had tried to get him to wear something else - but that had been a struggle he'd lost. Willow kept the robe, and with it, the calmness and serenity he'd become known for. A quiet child, people around Arri called him. He was fine with that.
In truth, Willow saw no NEED to talk, unless there was something to say. That would partially be the reason that the only verbiage the tree-child offered in way of greeting was a simple

"Hello..."

Nothing else passed his lips, as he stood where he was, and took in everything about this other boy. From his sharp teeth to the stick in his hand, to the color of his skin, to his height. Absorbing all the physical details in one glance, then savoring them in another. One could not hope to understand something, until the full scope of the thing was realized. Or at least that's what Arri had told him earlier. Funny, but his oft-ill guardian had a strange way of teaching one thing to Willow, then doing another for himself. No matter - Willow was learning and that was all that mattered to him, even if others cared not for the lessons.

Lorcan gave a jolt as suddenly a tree was talking to him. He starred up at the tree for a long moment as though he were trying to wrap his mind around it. He lifted his stick up and brought it against the base of the tree with a growl as though to silence it... then from the corner of his eye he caught movement and his entire body went tense, hunching over slightly as he turned to face whoever was there... and found himself starring at...

Well he had no idea what it was. A tree-man? Was this the tree's idea of revenge? Out to get him for beating on them with their own sticks? Seemed a weak sort of revenge given how small the tree-man was. It didn't really occur to Lorcan that it had been this boy and not the tree he'd been circling that had greeted him. He was a bit simple minded as well as young and it didn't help matters that he didn't have a parent that was eager to teach him things.

He shifted in place, sniffed at the air, then slowly started to approached the tree-man. He gave a little growl, seemed to try to puff up to appear larger, and his tails were lashing behind him. All in all he looked much like a cat ready to pounce on potential prey.

The tree-boy smiled as the other approached, standing just that much straighter, and attempting to make himself look NOT as small as he actually was. He recognized the posturing behavior as a defensive gesture, and he knew very well from some outside sources that a creature in this mode of thought often could turn hostile if the opposing party - being himself - seemed so much smaller and less threatening. He wasn't aiming to scare this other. Just show him that he was of equal size and strength, in hopes of coming to something of a truce.

"Greetings." he spoke once again, and made an elaborate bow, keeping is eyes on the other. "I am Willow."
