He noticed the wording and the tone of the sentence, it was as if he was having trouble speaking in proper sentences?
The wolfman wanted to get back to relaxing, but Chastity was keened firmly on catching up on things with Diligence, since they hadn't spoken with each other for...well, as long as the last time they had talked.
There was no way she was going to let Jex just walk away right now, not until she was satisfied.
He only gave a slight nod in reply to Ieuan's plans, his gaze following the boy as he walked over towards the couch the wolfman had previously been resting, after eyeing it for a few moments.
The boy seemed to find the couch rather...foreign? Where was this guy from anyways? He certainly didn't look like someone from around this crazy madhouse of a school, then again, Jex could pretty much say the same for himself.
While he knew what a couch was, most of the other things around here were strange to him, like a 'phone' or a 'computer,' it was quite confusing, really.
" Jexxy-kun, come back to reality, you're being rude," Chastity firmly chided him, making a short surge of pain shoot through his head, not enough to cause him long-lasting hurt, but enough to snap him out of his little daze.
Jex growled softly and put his hand to his head again, ' The hell was that for?!' he snarled mentally to her, his attention deviating back to Ieuan as the boy spoke up.
His ears flicked about as the boy said that Diligence wanted to know how Chastity was doing, if she and him get along, and if there are any others around.
Chastity smiled mentally, and spoke to Jex, " Tell her that I'm doing absolutely fine, though you're pretty much a handful to take care of. As for any others, wellllll, we did come across Kindness briefly in the dining hall, though I hadn't much of a chance to talk to her before we left there..."
She seemed to be in thought a moment, then broke the silence, " I'd like to know how she's doing with her host~ Certainly she's getting along better with him than me and you."
' No kidding,' Jex snapped back at her, ' Evil wolfmen and goody-two-shoes Virtues don't mix, at all, the only reason you're with me is cause of those stupid mage judges or whatever.'
Returning his attention back to Ieuan, the wolfman spoke, " Ummm, Chastity says to Diligence that she's doing fine, though, as far as getting along, we aren't exactly on the best of terms, her saying that I'm stubborn as a mule as always... As for if she's seen any others, she says that we briefly came across Kindness and her vessel at the dining hall, where we came from a while ago, though she didn't get much of a chance to speak with her before we left.."
He paused a moment, casting a glance around the dorm lounge again, making sure no one else was listening in on this rather obscene conversation they were having, before he looked back to Ieuan.
" Oh, and Chastity wants to know how Diligence is doing with you, she thinks that the two of you are maybe getting along better than she and I are," he added, brushing the fur on his shoulders slightly and popping his neck a couple of times for good measure. † †
