Is it the one I'm thinking of? XD Where the kids are like mindless zombies and a woman talks about how Harry Potter and the Internet are spawns of Satan?

I don't particularly care if this thread gets deleted or not. Even if I do post here quite often. It causes too much drama and stress. On that sort of vein I give up, clearly nobody is interested anyway.

Reading some of the threads is making me so damn depressed... I wish I could understand half of this, I hate feeling so helpless....

I keep hearing sounds, like people moving. I'm 110% certain it's a combination of my cat, my imagination, and the occasional passing car, so I'm only "worried" on an instinctive level, but...I feel like there might be something wrong with the fact that I'm more concerned with the "possibility" of my parents having magically teleported back from New Jersey early without telling me than of anything regarding, y'know, criminals. sweatdrop I always thought my parent issues were just an amplified version of those that almost every teenager has...but with some of my thoughts lately, thoughts like this...I've been wondering if it's more. If I've really developed some deeper independence issue of some sort and never really realized the extent.
Maybe I was wrong about almost every teenager being more comfortable when they're home alone. Maybe being in a vastly better psychological frame when my parents aren't around isn't normal.
Is it?
Isn't it?
I don't know anymore. There are so many things I just think apply to everyone, and then I find out they don't. Would you believe some people's houses only have one floor? I mean, doesn't everyone have a second floor? Isn't that only natural? It's things like that...it's all so strange. How I can live my whole life without knowing something, nor being aware that I don't know it. And how weird it seems when I find these things out...
...seriously, what kind of house doesn't have a second floor? sweatdrop I guess I've always sort of accepted that as an inherent part of what a dwelling is.
It's like...when my parents are home, and then they leave for a while...my head just...it's like the sun is shining down on it all day and then it finally rains. That sort of relief, you know? But...more.

@Kestin: It's not a BIG difference for me, but I do feel more comfortable when my parents aren't home or when they're asleep. I feel more relaxed and I'm not quite as... on edge, I guess.
Oh, and my cousins' house only has one floor (not even a basement). No air conditioning, either x__X

@ Kestin I feel more on edge when home alone. also houses with only one floor are called bungalows, lots of people have em. My grandparents live in one... maybe they are more common here because people don't NEED basements
