Okay. For our schools honor choir, we bring 9 people (3 sops, 3 altos, etc)
This year the conference picked an a capella song(Psalm 47) with drum parts. I'm a percussionist and got picked for the conga part.
Well, on Tuesday, the director called all the honor choir girls over, including me and two other percussionists. For our school's piece, we are going to do the song "O Sinner!" (Which is awesome). It had a few solos in it, but the director stated that she wanted to combine them so it was just one person singing all of them (or so I thought)
I was wrong. She made it a duet. And the singers are one Senior and... me.(Me=freshman)
And the performance is November 3rd.

Are (or were) you in Honor Choir?
Ever been shocked by your director's decisions?
Ever sang a solo? (I know this has already been brought up in many discussions before, though)
Etc, etc.

That is so kool...personally, I wanted to be in choir, but my schedule wouldn't fit it in as my elective, so I didn't get into choir. But it really is kool...Last year when I was in jr high, the duets were soooooo much fun
