Kohaku knew better than to dive straight out on her trip, though. If she didn't tell someone in her large family, she would be in trouble. The thing was...who to tell? If she told the wrong one, then she would be prevented from leaving. And while she was headstrong on the inside, she tried to play as sweet as candy on the outside.
It took days for her to decide. She observed her family in a different way. It only became obvious when she noticed that one of her cousins left. And then another left. Her uncle must not be too happy with the idea of his children leaving, but he would understand. Wouldn't he? It wasn't like she was going to leave forever. Just for a bit, and she'd be back. She just wouldn't say what she would be coming back with. That wouldn't work. Feo would just drag her back here, or tell one of her brothers or something.
Kohaku was never above lying.
Searching behind Pride Rock, where he normally lingered was the best idea. She quickly spotted his golden coat, his red-brown mane swaying with the tickle of the breeze. Hmph, this was going to be interesting.
