Cowboy Bebop The Live Action Movie A while ago my sources told me of this and then a few weeks ago we got more, actual news. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1267295/AND wikipedia.org On July 22, 2008, IF Magazine published an article on its website regarding a rumor of a live-action Cowboy Bebop movie that is in development by 20th Century Fox. Producer Erwin Stoff said that the film's development was in the early stages, and that they had "just signed it".[10][11] Keanu Reeves has been confirmed as playing the role of Spike Spiegel.[12][13] It has also been confirmed through Variety in a January 15, 2009 article, that the production company, Sunrise, Inc., will be "closely involved with the development of the English language project" and that Kenji Uchida, Shinichiro Watanabe, and series writer Keiko Nobumoto has been confirmed to be associate producers and that series producer Masahiko Minami has been confirmed as a production consultant. Variety also confirms that Peter Craig is currently attached as screenwriter. Maybe with the actual people who worked on the series won't frak it up...maybe...

Keanu Reeves would make the most amazing Spike ever!! I love Keanu Reeves. There are also rumors that Angelina Jolee is going to be Faye and Bruce Willis will be Jet, how amazing would that be!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!! I LOVE COWBOY BEBOP AND KEANU REEVES!!

I think with the movie experience that Keanu Reeves has and because he's an excellent actor he would make a good Spike. That's my opinion on it.

Except for the part where Keanu Reeves can't emote. I agree that it would be a terrible idea to cast him. I think I've seen one movie where he wasn't terrible. And he wasn't good. He just wasn't terrible. I think it could be played by an American, but it would probably be better if it was an Asian.

I heard this news from my friends about a year ago, but I didn't think they were SERIOUS! eek Why would they take one of the most popular animes and make it into a live action movie!? gonk What's wrong with the world today!?
I always get so nervous that they are going to ruin it!

It all depends on the cast and the story they're going to use. This will either be really good or really bad in my opinion.
