He couldn’t remember his youth, but he allowed her to think so. It was a little too strange for him to explain the situation of his amnesia to a stranger. Perhaps, if they grew closer in terms of friends, he would. However, it did not seem all too important now.
‘It’ll be a pleasure to show you around, but the world below is a vast land,’ he wrote slowly, taking in the scene as they went through the gates. ‘I am a wanderer there; you would be a companion for me. However, if I tried to show you everything, it’d take forever. Then, it would be just the tour imposing on your time, wouldn’t it?’
The exuberant exciting of the town was catching, forcing him to feel some sort of anxiety rising in his chest. Aeos decided to watch his companion instead, taking in the fact that she seemed much more at ease in this situation that himself. To her question, when she asked, he gave a light nod; taking to the direction he recalled being the square.
There was something occurring in the midst of the Square. A fire Constellation twisted and danced while her flames coiled around her expertly. Cheerful music seemed to push her on, and other dancers—several Twilif-- spun and twirled in graceful circles all around. Aeos felt his mouth quirk in amusement, though he felt a bit withdrawn when he cast his eyes towards the sparkling flames. He’d never liked it, or those that could draw them from their body, too much; it made him somewhat sick, if only because he was Ice.
‘It looks like it’ll be a while until they’re done.’

"Perhaps a small tour then? It sure does look vast.." A small wistful note in her tone, as she imaged what the ball of green, blue and white would look like when she went down there. It was a beautiful sight from the moon, but to be on it must be an entirely different experience or view. Nearing the crowds, Rhyme's harp had disappeared along the way, it seemed she had powers to bring the harp out or not. Such a precious item, Rhyme didn't dare risk it being lost in the crowds of twilif and constellations, or damaged in any sort of way.
Rhyme never failed to get caught within the town's excitement, but not so far as to lose control of herself. She looked around at the festivities, the flow of people was always moving yet never colliding. Such a town was a perfect example of harmony, where one could always enjoy themselves without worry. Clapping her hands together, the tip of her fingers at her mouth, she smiled, admiring the other small entertainers as they passed, several waving in recognition.
"A fire dancer! That's quite impressive, I've never seen a constellation control her flames so well while dancing before." Her rare visits to the town didn't allow her to see as much as Rhyme would have liked, but dealing with the noise was sometimes a far greater hassle to bear. "She's quite elegant and she uses her powers well." Rhyme commented, her eyes on the magnificent colors of flames. Rhyme had always a dangerous interest in the color red, and an infinite amount of hues a flame held was far more than Rhyme saw usually.
"It seems so. I suppose we'll have to wait our turn. Shall we enjoy the festivities for now?" It was like an unspoken rule among the square, for an entertainer to wait until the other was finished. Whoever went up first afterwards took the next turn. "If you'd like, perhaps we can wander around some of the food booths, a bite to eat if you're hungry?"

Aeos looked on doubtfully at the flames, turning his wary eyes towards Rhyme. A small doubtful purr rose in his throat, a bit distant. It changed back to cool curiosity after a moment's notice; his eyes flickering all elsewhere but the dancers. 'Hungry? I am a bit,' he wrote after a moment's pause before looking around again, trying to find the sources of the drifting scents of warm food and drinks. It seemed to be coming from everywhere all at once.
It took a moment to locate some sort of stand, selling some sort of exotic frizzy dessert type that bubbled up and misted out. For him, he preferred something cold like-- it was 'food', he supposed, as most warm things tended to freeze in his mouth and the taste was rarely the same. He took one cupful, casting a glance at Rhyme and purring softly for her to try.

Rhyme located a stand near the dessert stand, her choice of food had been something they called 'takoyaki.' She bought a box full of them, the hot items nearly burning her tongue, wincing as she tried to cool down her mouth. She should have been more careful, knowing that the freshly fried pieces were quite hot. She joined the other, after watching the constellation wander to a booth, bringing back a dessert. It certainly did look interesting with all it's bubbles and mist. Putting down her box full of takoyaki, she took the offered cup to take a sip, a giggle escaping her as the sweet taste rolled down her tongue and into her throat.
"It's quite delicious. Do you like sweets?" She asked the other, since his choice of food, had been surprisingly, dessert. Picking up the box to offer it to Aeos, she offered a new pair of chopsticks to him, to eat. "Would you like to try some? It's a little hot though, a lesson that I've just learned." She said the sentence in a dry manner, but her tongue had cooled down, thankfully, with Aeos's dessert.
(( No problem. <3 Uh.. I couldnt think of anything else @__@;; And I just ate some takoyaki yesterday, so it was the first thing that came to mind. xD;; ))

The icy Constellation offered her a lopsided smile. His fingers traced letters on to icy sheet, easily writing in the same elegant script despite only using a single digit. ‘I do enjoy the taste of something sweet, better if it is cold.’ He replied; mouth curved upwards to show some warmth of humor. ‘But, I believe my taste tends to run that way because anything cold generally implies dessert.’
Aeos’ icy gaze shifted towards the takoyaki doubtfully, a low croon sliding from his throat. ‘I would like to try, but I imagine that hot foods are generally best hot.’ He took the chopsticks and clumsily tried to adjust his hold on it to mirror the way she had had hers. However, it was probably something he would have to practice another time, as the Constellation could only clumsily grapple with the hot food.
His features fell into a slight wince, gaze shifting from Rhyme and the utensils with slight humor. When another moment passed, Aeos released a soft sigh and merely jabbed the pointed end of stick into one round orb. Since his hand was occupied, he could not make any comment except to take a hesitant bite out of the pre-offered piece.
The taste was somewhat alarming, in all honesty.
His nature turned the heat into cold, but the initial taste from a bite brought a startling amount of flavor. It was different from the taste of dessert, so much more complicated. Aeos found it delicious, though the flavors dimmed slightly from the drop in temperature. After another bite or two, he finished off the piece, licking traces of it from the corner of his mouth.
‘It’s good… what is it?’
The dimming of music from the fire-dancers made him turn his head. His gaze turned slightly, back to the direction of the square. 'It seems they're done for now... He gestured towards the food. Shall we finish this, and you can begin your performance, perhaps?

"That I do agree with. Desserts are best cold." She smiled, still admiring the elegance and fluency of his writing, despite the fact it was only with one digit. He had certainly mastered his powers well as a constellation, she reflected.
She couldnt stifle the giggle as Aeos tried to use the chopsticks, the clumsy constellation in front of her reminding her of her previous experiences with the chopstick. As Aeos' gaze shifted to Rhyme momentarily, she gave him a helpless smile. "I confess, it's taken me quite awhile to master the art of these utensils. It's best you hold it in the way it's most helpful to you. I'm quite sure my method is wrong but I don't believe theres a correct way to use chopsticks." She watched his expression as he ate it, trying to decipher it with little success.
Her face lit up as he stated it was good, eagerly replying back, the box of takoyaki one of her favorites. "It's called takoyaki. Octopus fried with batter and topped with various seasonings. They often like to sell it here." She pointed towards various stands, twilifs calling out, enticing curious people to come and try their food. Rhyme was attempting to decide the next snack, wondering if Aeos would like to try a different variety. But her attention was quickly diverted as Aeos pointed out the empty stage.
"That sounds like a good idea." Only two pieces remained, Rhyme took one, offering the last the Aeos in a silent gesture, her mouth delicately chewing the piece she had taken. She waved towards some of the familiar dancers, indicating that she would be using the stage soon. They nodded in confirmation, curious eyes looking at Aeos and his appearance. But their attention didnt stay on him for long, setting up their own tools and equipment to later perform.

Aeos speared the last takoyaki easily, deciding that he needn’t try to figure out the methods of eating with chopsticks. Munching on the strange quickly as it cooled against his breath and tongue, he glanced over at the Square. He felt some eyes slide over him without a word, but he paid them no mind. It seemed Rhyme was rather used to the affairs of the stage; the other dancers also appeared to know that the beautiful Constellation would begin her performance soon.
Sucking on the tips of the chopstick as he finished with the snacks, Aeos felt his gaze drawn back to Rhyme. He purred quietly, though the soft, rumbling vocalization didn’t show his slight bewilderment. To easy rhythm set by two colleagues or companions had always confused and put him at awe. Then again, he had always traveled alone and very occasionally made ventures to where the Moonfolk populated.
Shaking his head lightly, he waited for Rhyme to begin.

She threw away the leftover trash in a nearby trashcan, people idly walking by, glancing at the empty stage. Rhyme was mildly nervous by the stares that landed on her as she made her away to the stage. Nobody ever quite got over the nervousness of presenting, Rhyme wasn't excluded. Since there were no chairs on the stage, a crystal stump formed, the action of powers was common among this community.
She perched herself delicately on the stump, her legs to one side as she turned to the crowd. she needed no warm-up, having played earlier in the day, Rhyme's harp was tuned to perfection, having agonized over each sound until she deemed it suitable. She cleared her throat, in seconds, her hands started a slow gentle melody, tipping her head back and forth as if to merge her mind with the melody. Her mouth opened, words easily flowing out as she played her harp, merging both melody and words into a synchronized song.
"There is something here I want to protect Here I will grow strong for this is where I belong So I stand with my fist clenched tightly once again And watch you walk away.."
She couldnt allow mistakes. Not during a show. It seemed as if her mind had transformed itself to a different mode entirely, a soft melody that wouldn't allow herself to ruin or soil it. But it wasn't as if she registered the audience. She was in her own world now.
"I've learned that we're the ones who choose our own fates The path we take in life is all up to us.."
Several people left, several listened to the gentle melody but Rhyme's eyes didn't open to scan the audience, nor did she have any intention to keep an eye on the audience.

Aeos felt his breath be taken away at the start of the song. The sweet music of her voice and harp combined made him still and stare. He could feel some people walk away, but most were entranced like he. His eyes closed, listening to the crystal clear words. Somehow, he could remember the words from another singer, who had a different voice and a different instrument.
He could remember the notes.
“I look for words to tell you what this all means But words cannot express the depth of my heart So slowly I watch you slowly I see you go From the land far behind you wondering if you'll ever know”
An icy ocarina formed at his fingertips, and he grasped it tightly against the palm of his hand. He wondered briefly if it was even allowed, but there were no written words, was there? His bravery rarely had him do such a thing, but his heart was soaring with the music… Aeos doubted he would regret anything more if he didn’t take this step. He lifted the ocarina up to his mouth, and waited for her to take a breath and begin a new line of the song.
There, he noted, and let the soft whisper of the ocarina join in the strings of the harp. He watched Rhyme with half-lidded eyes, knowing that she was professional enough not to stop in the middle of the song, but… still.
"And I'm not lonely now My heart's not broken now Because you've given me courage to go on.."
The Constellation kept the ocarina’s volume a step softer, not as catchable as each of the harp’s pluck. Who knows what she’ll think.

Of course. Rhyme was quite surprised when she heard another join into the song. The soft pitch of the ocarina flowed smoothly in within the harp, each silence between the harp's note now filled with notes of the ocarina. She opened her eyes to flash a smile at Aeos, the unique display drawing crowds who recognized the music. It was rare for Rhyme to have a musical partner, thus the show was assumed as a one-time concert. she joined in with other singers or dancers but it rare for someone to have joined her.
Morning comes again and now you are gone Nothing I could say would make you stay one more day Though we've chosen our paths and may not meet again I still believe in us..
Little kids walked up to the stage to listen further, their curiosity was rewarded as several tiny crystal roses sprouted in front, dropped into each curious child's hands.
..No matter how hard it may be to say good bye, remember Deep in our hearts we all feel the same We've come so far so please don't forget me.
Her voice softened at the end, ending the song with a small wordless melody, looking up at Aeos with a smile. She pulled the icy constellation, willing or not, up to the middle of the stage to accept the burst of applause. "I didnt know you could play the ocarina. That was amazing." Rhyme whispered with genuine amazement and delight, clapping her hands together to join in the applause for Aeos.

The fluttering beat of his heart dimmed as the last notes of the song faded from the air. He released a somewhat tired breath and tried to reduce the rising chill of the air surrounding his body. As his emotions rose, his control over his icy power tended to fall away from him. Cool blue eyes opened, though when he’d closed them he wasn’t sure, and looked around. Applause greeted him, but that was unsurprising. Since Rhyme was a regular performer here, the deafening rumble of clapping palms would be expected. However, almost didn’t understand why some of the moon folk were staring at him.
Aeos watched Rhyme slip over and tug him to the middle of the square. Reluctance decorated his features, though it wasn’t from any form of dislike. Darker shades of blue began to decorate his pale features, blooming into a rather extensive flush as a combination of embarrassment and pride filtered through his mind. Shards of ice began to form at the Ice Constellation’s feet, rising to coat a thin layer of ice on even the soft fabric of Rhyme’s clothes due to their close proximity. The momentary lapse of temperature went unnoticed for several seconds before Aeos finally noticed the sparkling crystals of ice melding from his feet to the ground.
Another delicate flush rose and he forcefully drew his powers back, eyes closing for a moment so he couldn’t see the mixed reaction of the onlookers. As the warmth returned, Aeos reformed the sheet of ice and began to write. ‘I had planned to just listen to your music; it was a surprise to both you and I when I decided to join in.’ He still felt embarrassed, keeping his eyes lowered from hers before they lifted. ‘It’s not an ability I feel overly confident about, I suppose. Or rather, I was not sure I would still be able to play when the time comes.’
I can only wait patiently until he comes to deliver more silence. A lingering sense of sadness pooled in his heart, but at the same time, Aeos could only impatiently anticipate the arrival. The same part of him, half-uncovered from hidden memories, yearned for something that worryingly resembled a battle.
Breaking the ice at his feet, he stepped away slightly to a new patch of ground. Coating the sheet with a new layer of frost, the icy Constellation wondered. ‘Perhaps,’ Aeos wrote finally, with a faint and somewhat odd smile. ‘It is time for us to part ways, Rhyme.’

"It was a surprise all right. You play music splendidly. You know, music expresses one's self best. So I believe." Rhyme smiled, amused at Aeos's embarrassment. It wasnt the nicest thing to do but to see the mature constellation act in such a manner, the opportunity couldn't be passed up.
"So cute!" She commented, hiding her wide smile behind a long red sleeve, the two had stepped off the stage by now as other performers gathered on stage, hastily getting ready. Rhyme didnt comment on his later comment, she couldnt grasp how music did not flow naturally to one. Music had always flowed naturally to her, Rhyme always held a steady control over his creative inspiration. She could guess it was similar to some other experiences but Rhyme could never say she had experienced a situation in where music did not come easily.
The newest message left her with an air of sadness, even as she smiled softly. "I guess it would be time." She voiced softly, her own eyes casted downwards. To walk back to the forest would be a lonely path but to stay in town would be troublesome. In a moment, she had lifted her head up, dispersing the mood with a brighter happier smile. "Please be sure to come visit again. Take care of yourself though, Aeos. You know where to find me." Standing on the tip of her toes, she reached up to pat the other hesitantly, the cool air circulating around the other constellation was pleasant to the heat of her hands.
