Oh what a day today was! Her eyes scanned the far horizon as she listened to the birds chirp in the distance. Polly hadn't seen a nice day like this in a good long white. Always winter- and snow...she just disliked snow to the upmost. She was always more of a spring 'bird' comming out of her cave and watching the flowers bloom. To bad it couldn't stay like this all year. She sighed and took a long stretch, her tail flopping about behind her and her weird little moehawk reaching as high as they could in the wind.
Interesting birthmark she had really. She licked a paw like a cat and tryed to push them down slighty. But nothing seamed to work and the more she licked them the more rigid they became. 'Ah Shucks' She mused to herself putting her paw down on the ground once again.

Eykos yawned and shifted, his left hind-paw twitching as he whimpered. He was asleep in a fairly large den, probably large enough to accommodate a she-wolf and a few pups, if the brood was small. He, on the other paw, took up about half the den with himself alone. His eyes snapped open after a rather violent jerk of his body and he growled, his gaze flicking around. No, nothing was there and it had been another dream that, upon waking, had made his fur itch.
As he pulled himself from the den and began his daily waking ritual of stretching and trying to persuade his aching bones to feel otherwise a small smile formed on his maw. He took a deep breath as he looked around upon what seemed to be a very lovely spring day, something he felt thankful for.
His big tail thumped against the ground, he'd seated himself only for a moment, before he rose once again and began to lumber through the woods. After a short while his nostrils flared and in the distance he caught faint sight of bright yellow, and as he got closer he recognized the smell of she-wolf, as well as realized the yellow belonged to her. His ears flattened slightly and his gaze flicked away. He was not shy, and it wasn't that he was unfriendly... but he much preferred his own company to the company of others.
As he passed by he glanced to her and bowed his head, realizing he should be respectful if not social.

Polly was once again in the midst of trying to flatten her little head fluff when she caught the whiff of an attractive male near her. She stopped lowered her paw and beamed plesently at him. "Oh no need to lower your head around me sir. I'm not an Alpha....just little old Polly." She whumpfed her tail on the ground a few times before getting up to get a better look at him.
"I've never seen you before dearie- are you new...or possibly I just wasn't paying any attention when you walked by last time-" She giggled to herself then to him. "I have a tendancy to miss small-" She then looked down to his necklace her eyes widening as she noticed her tiny reflection. "And I see you've been with humans," She paused again. "Am I right? Because I've got something like that too..." She wiggled the arm with the silver bracelet on it. "But I didn't like being a pet so much- they always wanted my yellow hairs to be big and tall....and you know I think they are quite sill-" She then clamped her mouth shut. "Oh bother I've seen to have done it again...I'm Pollyanna. And you my fine sir might be?" She paused and let her red cheeks flush out more. She really needed to stop letting her mouth ramble on like that.

He winced slightly as she told him not to greet her, mistaking the action as something respectful he supposed. Which wasn't exactly off the mark- he respected all life forms even if he enjoyed being alone more often than not, but he wasn't about to greet someone when he hardly felt good at conversing. And now look what happened, he'd have to stop and talk anyhow. He just pushed a small smile onto his maw and nodded slightly. "Ah, Pardon." His voice was quiet but deep. As she stood he took one small step back, finding himself sitting. He felt a little awkward around most wolves, too large and bulky for his own good. He figured sitting would make him appear smaller.
So she must have come out here every morning- settled in this place? His light gaze flicked past her and around the area, searching for a den. As she began to say she missed small 'things' he could only assume he felt his smile tug a bit, widening ever so slightly as he found amusement in the term.
Then she questioned about his ornament around his throat- some word he wasn't familiar with, but he could only assume she meant the two leggers. His eyes moved calmly to her paw and his head tilted a little, taking in the silver. Then they danced up toward the top of her head, trying to keep up with all that she was saying. Pollyanna, it seemed was her calling. He took a deep breath and found himself beginning to laugh, a little overwhelmed with all that she'd said. "Ah, beg pardon.." He breathed out, his words still soft and strong. "Uh... I'm called Eykos... hmm.. if you mean the two-legs then yes. I've been with them." It seemed the subject was a bit closed, because he didn't elaborate on it. Something a bit sad entered his gaze, but it was only momentarily there. "And I'm not especially from around these parts, I travel quite a bit."

"Oh traveling!" It seamed to spark her attention even more. "I don't travel much beyond these parts. I've been here since I left the uhhhh- two leggers?" She gazed at him slightly. "That is right....right? Two leggers? I always thought they were called humans." She tilted her head in slight confusion on the subject. "So where have you traveled? I'm sure you've seen many wonderful things. I sometimes want to travel..." She mused to herself in mid ramble as she watched him sitting on the ground.
"Eykos? Thats a very handsome name." She beamed threw happily herself sitting. But she took a slight pause from talking as she looked into his eyes. "Well my humans were nice...but they made my hair look all stupid..." She took a paw and tryed to push down her yellow hairs once again. "I've never been able to get them to lie flat- I wonder why?"
