Leaving one of the other eggs, Elora started toward one with pink and green on it. She'd never really thought that the two colors would go well together, but somehow this egg managed to make it work. Even she had to admit that, and she hated the color pink! Still, it wasn't the shell that mattered, but the dragonet inside. Reaching out, she caressed the hardening shell, hopeing that the one growing within would find their lifemate with no problems when the time came...

The last egg that attracted Weylin's attention was the vividly blue one, and he smiled as he walked past it. He got the feeling that whatever hatched from that egg would not be blue, for the simple fact that it would be far too easy otherwise. But beyond that, Weylin didn't tend to speculate too far. He hoped there would be a bronze in the clutch, for the sheer fact that he liked bronzes. But the odds of that weren't good. With two bronzes in the last clutch, statistical odds were against it.
Crouching down when he reached the blue egg, he simply ran his hand over it once and whispered a quick, "Good luck," before straightening up and making his way out of the crowd. He caught sight of a notorious head and shook his head as he realized that Nan and Elae had found each other and were no doubt spreading the day's wild rumours even now. It was funny, in a way, but also occasionally dangerous. Weylin had managed to quash the worst of the rumours last spread about him, but you never knew what those two would come up with next.

"I didn't know these things until I started listening to other people talk," Jessan replied thoughtfully. He reflected internally how nice it would be for their family if one or both of them Impressed. Allowing himself a moment of quiet, he can back just in time to hear Jiriar say something about the eggs glowing. "I know dragons do when they go into Heat. But as for the eggs, I don't think they did?"
Jiriar stepped away and went wandering through the eggs. Jessan realized that they had been hogging the same egg for some time. Giving an apologetic smile, Jessan stepped away from the egg and moved towards one of the larger ones. He headed towards one with green coloring. Another candidate was also heading towards the colorful shell and maybe he would have a chance to talk to someone else.
