@ Ellemir - Yes, they do! The Woodcrafthall.
@ Swan - You must Impress a dragon to get one. You may do so by participating in a Hatching, in which the dragons will Impress the candidate best suited to them, or in a contest held. Both will be happening soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

Another question - are the dragons of Pern cold-blooded?

Ok...got a question. How do we know when a Turn has gone by??
Trying to figure that out so I can RP a naming day and keep track of my character's age. smile
Thanks!

- Ellemir - "Although their body temperature (35°C) is slightly cooler than humans (37°C), Dragons are definitely warm 'blooded', this can be determined by their reaction to hot and cold temperatures. However, they do not have blood and it is not even red in colour. Instead they have ichor which is dark green in colour. Ichor, like blood, is also based on a metal, in this case the metal being copper instead of iron. Dragon flesh does therefore have a green tinge to it instead of pink normally associated with humans."
- Kaiko - Watching the Ista Vitals! :] The seasons change, so the turn is passing. x3

}~{This is a very random, and possibly idiotic question, but I can't remember...can dragons travel places/go between without their rider? Like flits can, I mean. }~{

yes, but dragons on do this on an instinctive basis. This would include going between to go to the bathroom, going between to come to their rider's aid if they were in danger and during Threadfall, if they've been scored, they jump between. They wouldn't go between for no real reason, like a flit.

Here I am again, with another question. This time it pertains to shop canon:
In the Weyr are wrestling matches permitted between characters? Also, can there be training for knife fights? and if not organized by grown-ups, then by Candidates... errr... I mean youths?
Also, if the wrestling/knife fights are allowed which ranks in the Weyr are allowed to participate?
Lastly, are these activities are acceptable for Holders I recall them occurring during Robinton's youth, but is it allowed in this Guild??
