Alright, so I just got into The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong, and I can't wait for the release of thoroughly enjoyed The Awakening. The books are below my reading level, and the writing isn't majorly fantastic or anything but she has a great sense of character and a twist that pushes the boundaries of her plot.
I've been tempted to read some of her other things, but I'm hesitant to give them a try.
So, thoughts and opinions on Kelley and her books?

I've heard good things about her adult Women of the Otherworld series. I haven't read any yet, since I've been a bit burned out on supernatural romances.
BTW, it's "Kelley". When I tried looking up "Kelly Armstrong" I got something totally unrelated.

I've read "Dime Store Magic" and "Industrial Magic". I want to read more, but haven't got around to it. I really love her writing... I absorbed both books rather quickly. Perfect sign of a good read.

...birds creep over tin roofs, like criminals with tap shoes... .::I have only read Bitten and Marked so far::. but i like what i have read, its a fresh breeze to have something about werewolves instead of vampires. I like the sass she throws in the books, and the rather instable relationship between Elena and Clay :b
They are rather predictable, but well worth the read.
...stain the glass with windows, extortionate and cold stare...

I love the author Kelley Armstrong. I've read all the werewolf books in Women of the Otherworld and I LOVE them!! I also read The Summoning and The Awakening. I'm waiting for The Reckoning and Frostbitten to come out. It would be pretty great if Elena (a werewolf from the Women of the Otherworld series) met Derek but obviously, that's impossible because the author already made it clear that won't happen. sad

I read the second installment a while back, and was very pleased. I've also read the first 3 chapters of The Reckoning that are out for a preview on her site.
Derek is my favourite character by far.
I think I will give the Otherworld series a chance.

I've only read one of her books so far, Bitten, and it's got me completely hooked. Bitten has to be one of the best werewolf books I have ever read and believe me I've read a lot of them.

mrgreen I really like Kelly she is a good writer and I have read the awakening. Her other books may be slow at first but he detail and her perseption of combining reality and fantasy is truly amazing.

I just got her sequel, "Personal Demon"... I'm waiting to read it after I finish Sherrilyn Kenyon's "League" series. I've been on waiting lists at the library and I've just started the second of three books. It'll be a bit before get back to Kelley.
