I just bought the Pokemon Platinum guide book, it's freakin huge. 624 pages of Pokemon Platinum info. I have yet to read through it, so I am not quite sure what info is in there, but I DO know that is has the Sinnoh and National dex full info crap.

It came with stickers.

I bought it, but only because of the ten percent discount...and to shut my friends up about it. If I hadn't bought it, I wouldn't have heard the end of "being behind the times." Good book...interesting read.

I especially like how only the first Pokedex really gives you any useful information about the Pokemon you might be dealing with. The second one is just...bad.

Overall though, I couldn't help but notice how much other info they managed to cram into it. I'd give this one a 3/5...because the National Dex is lacking important information. If they release another Pokedex, I hope they consider one (with an absolute maximum of two) Pokemon per page...that way we can have an accurate read on how good each one is.

I got the book, bad discount amount tho, but i used a Westfield giftcard so its alright.
I thought that the nat-dex had too small of words, so it seemed like the info for nat seemed less important to them. The walkthrough wasn't very detailed it just pointed you in the right direction, which i liked. I liked that because it helps you do most of it on your own. Without that, i would not have beaten the part 1 of the game.

the sinnoh de was more detailed, it even had egg groups I wish it had egg cycles and such. The items section was a total mess, it didn't even show what all pokemon could be holding, just a few. The Move section, goodnes gracious, messy.

Serebii.net is all I need. I'd rather spend my money on a new Gamecube Controler.

I think the reason they didnt put more work into the Sinnoh dex is because it's the current gen's dex. Just my opinion though, I mean the book is already freakin huge, it would be a good two times the thickness if they went through and put all the info in the national dex.

Also:
$19.99 American
$22.95 Canadian
$39.95 Australian.

Those are the prices on the back of the book, I live in Canada and paid $22.95 so I am assuming those are the correct prices.

Did you just ask if I, I! would 'ave gotten a strategy guide? One who cannot even manage to cheat except on that which is unobtainable as I do not have a Toys 'R Us around? You sir, you, YOU! should be ashamed of yourself!

But nay, says I, I have not gotten the strategy guide, for I... am really poor XD. I really don't need one, and I have no earthly idea why I wrote like that.

Boredom perhaps, or maybe even, the power of GAIA!!!

I got it mainly for show. I have most every other pokemon Strategy guide for the hand held games (starting with crystal unfortunately) so I figured may as well get this one. National Dex is absolutely horrible. Which is why I use the D/P Nat. Dex guide. All the info I need is in that one. They aren't that different pokemon-wise anyway. If you don't want to complete a collection of pokemon guides you may already have just avoid it. The "poster" isn't even that great. It's just a mini map of sinnoh or the sinnoh inderground on the other side. Coolest poster in my opinion was from the Pokemon Ranger (not SOA haven't got that one or the game for that matter) guide.

i boughts the guid and i think it is usefull only at key points of the game other than that it is lacking much info that is needed for this vast game.

I still haven't really read through it yet, I think I bought it just for the sake of having it.
