Got an idea for a new RP? Post it here, and if enough people are interested, you can start it. It seems pointless to have too many RPs started when few people are interested in most of them, so that's what this is for. We'll basically do the same thing as with the new members thread, and people can reply to various ideas with either "yay" or "nay" to show interest or lack thereof.
3 people willing to participate, excluding the person who came up with the idea, means that the thread will be made.

This RP has been accepted and can be found in the "Kage no Junshin" Thread. So there is no longer need to yay it or anything. A friendly little reminder from your local chikushou.Okay, here's my idea, which is based on the thing that will (possibly) be my manga at some point. But, for now, I've given up on it, so I've decided I'll try it as a RP. Basically, participants would choose a species from the following: Quote: Species: Cat hybrid: These are basically a mix between cats and elves. I haven't really figured out how that works, though, seeing as there are no pure cats in this world I've come up with. Anyways, they have catlike ears and a tail, and are short, skinny, and flexible. Some have stripes and such on their cheeks. They are known to be fast, sly, and tricky, and the common cat hybrid is also uncouth, barbaric, and amoral. They live in the mountains, and are basically outcasts of society. Elf: This is pretty obvious. They come in all sizes, from Christmas to Tolkien. And they look like, well, elves. Their abilities vary. They are known to be refined and delicate, yet strong and beautiful. They are very well respected among everyone except the cat hybrids. They live wherever they want to live. Dragon: Dragons, I see no need to describe. They live in the sky, and only come down in rare occasions, normally to see the elves. They are noble, powerful creatures who control the weather and various elements. Dragon hybrid: This is a mix between a dragon and an elf. Don't ask. Anyways, they can switch forms between one that looks primarily elfish and one that looks dragon-ish. They have wings, a tail, and elfish ears in both forms. Little is known about them, as they are not very common. They have control of certain elements, based on the specialty of their dragon-relative. Angel*: This is a human temporarily summoned to the world, typically by an elf. Has feathery wings, and unknown, but extraordinary powers. But, again, they only appear when summoned, and it takes great skill and a specific ritual. *People cannot choose to be an angel until the ritual for summoning angels is found, obviously. If they decide to be a cat hybrid, they can choose the main weapons they will use. Cat hybrids tend to use small daggers or knives, and mainly work in hand to hand combat. They are also capable of using some minor magic spells (mainly prank/practical joke stuff), and are very good at disguising themselves. They're basically like ninja. Their appeal is in cuteness. Their quality is secret, which means they are good at concealing themselves and their thoughts, but reading the thoughts of others. This is the basic form for cat hybrids: Quote: Name/nickname: Height: (par height is 3-4 feet, cat hybrids cannot be above 4'5") Weight: (Par weight: 70-90 lbs. They're short and skinny, and thereby pretty light) Gender: Hair color/style: (Cat hybrids tend not to be the most neat and well-groomed beings, so yah.) Eye color: Ear/tail color: Markings on face, etc.: Clothes: Weapons: Skills: People who choose elves are expected to be beautiful and refined. They're very adept at magic, and tend to be a bit samurai-like. They're regal, and hold their honor in high regard. Their appeal, as I mentioned, is in beauty. Their quality is art which means they are good at creating things through learned skill. This is the form for elves, roughly: Quote: Name/nickname: Height: (can literally be anything) Weight: Gender: Hair color/style: Eye color/style: Body structure: Clothes: Weapons: Magic specialties: Dragons have both a human and dragon form as well as dragon hybrids. Their appeal is in dignity, and their quality is nobility, which means they have natural skills of control. they have primary control over the weather and stuff. Actually, now that I think about it, people can't be dragons, because the few dragons there are have just sorta....always existed. It wouldn't make sense for any new dragons to come, or for anyone in an RPG to be a dragon. Dragon hybrids, on the other hand, are mixes between dragons and elves, and are the only offspring of the dragons. Their appeal is in purity, and their quality is nature, which means their strength comes from skills they were born with, but they are not as adept in learned skills. They have minor control over an aspect of the weather, depending on the specialty of their dragon parent. They have elvish ears. This is the form for dragon hybrids: Quote: Name/nickname: Gender: Height: (tend to be tallish) Weight: Hair color/style: Eye color/style: Wing type: (Oh, I think I forgot to mention that dragon hybrids have wings. They tend to be sorta thin, translucent wings. So, if you're interested in being a dragon hybrid, just describe the shape of the wings or whatever here) Tail style: (And they also have tails. Describe as you will.) Clothes: Element: (which element of nature he/she can control; this can only be one) Body structure: Since angels cannot be introduced immediately, I don't think I'll describe them. There will be a book that holds the information on angels, which can be found if one gives the proper payment to a certain seer who is easy to find, but not easy to please. So that's my idea. Yay or nay, folks?

I give it a yay. I tend to favor humans in RP's (It shuts vamp-wannabes, demon-worshippers and the like), but the since I can't, I'd be a hybrid. Yeah. I don't really do beautiful or "cute".

Well, angels are actually humans. Humans pulled into this little made-up world of mine. ninja But, they have certain powers involving their emotions because they're from a different world. So yah. Semi-relevant little thing I thought I'd add. Besides, if someone starts doing something that's extremely out of species with their character, I might inform them that they're doing so. Most of the things you described were somewhat out of character for the species. I'm trying to figure out how many people should yay and idea before it gets started as an RP. I'm thinking there should be 5 people willing to participate. Edit: and since I have time, and because I'm bored, this is what I would be in the RP. Quote: Name/nickname: Chiku Species: dragon hybrid Gender: F Height: 5'10" (in human form. In dragon form...well, just big. What more can I say?) Weight: 140 lbs. Hair color/style: A light, whitish-grayish lavender. Has bangs, and her hair otherwise is short and somewhat wavy. Eye color/style: Medium sized, and sort of a grayish-crystal color (that is, they sort of reflect light as if they're faceted. Is that a word? Whatever. I don't really care right now.), with long, clearish eyelashes. Wing type: The type that sort of spread out like bat's wings. Tail style: Plumy and full, like a particularly soft peacock's tail, only curled, and fluffy. Clothes: white gloves with holes for her fingers that go up to her mid-upper arm. A sort of netted to, with a white, collared vest-type-thing (to cover up anything that would make her too indecent) that goes down to a mini-skirt length. She goes barefoot. Oh, and she also wears a white collar. Most dragon hybirds wear some sort of collar for unknown reasons. Element: Wind. (air) Which makes her clan name Kazeno, which is really, remarkably unoriginal of me. Whatever. Body structure: B-cups, prominent hipbones, but curvaceous nonetheless.

Actually, I think I will, because this would definitely be possible with 4 people.
Edit: but I still have to come up with a title. I suppose I could just call it "Shadows of Innocence", but I was sorta hoping to find the Japanese for that, and I haven't found the word for "Innocence" yet. sweatdrop

Okay, so I have another potential idea for an RP, based on my "Rebirth" story that was, like so many other things I've written, never quite finished. I'm not sure if this will work as well
The idea is that there's this group of people who have the power to control a given element in this life. These elements are: wind, shadows, water, fire, stone, growth, and love. Because I'm, well, the way I am, I might expand this.
Anyways, at each given life, this entire set of people can only control their relationship to one of these elements. However, whenever one of these people touches another one, they both remember something from a past life when they could control another element and gain the ability to control this new element. They can interact with this memory to learn this control, and feel the emotions, etc. that occurs in this process. They will also have a new name for this different life. They are, however, rare, so this doesn't happen very often.
This will, then, be divided into several possibilities.
Edit: Go me and my ability to make things overly-complicated.
Anyways, basically, there will be the power users, and the basis of this will be an unusually high number of power users coming in contact with eachother and thereby remembering past skills.
Actually, I really just want to be Ninapico Lucentia. That's why I want to do this. xp
So, yeah. I'm not completely done thinking this out, but if people were willing to sort of add their own stuff to it, it might work. Otherwise, I can think about it some more. But whatever.
Oh, I forgot to add, that some of the less experienced power-users generally use their powers by making self-sacrifices that can also be used as weapons, like Calypsa's Blood Sword, and the loss of blood that lets her fly on air.
It is unlikely that anyone will be a more-experienced power-user at first.
Edit again: I think the name of this would be better as "Mutat", which, in Latin, is the present, 3rd person singular, active, indicative of "to change. In other words, it can be translated as he/she/it changes.
