Jasper sighed, they'd been wandering around for days now, trying to find a place to settle down for some time. But, it seemed whenever they slowd their pace, the hunt picked up. He'd began to hate his life on the run, there was a time when he actually enjoyed it. Now however...he just wanted some serious alone time with Mariko. Oh yea, their group and doubled in size. Jay and Aba were tagging along. He liked them easily enough, but between Jay cooing to Aba and Aba constant jumping-at-ever-single-noise issue, things got a bit old.
Finally he slowed to a stop. "We have to find somewhere to just...chill...if only for a few days!" He sighed, and scanned the area around them.
Jaylun was close behind Jasper and Mariko, but not nearly as close to them as Aba. He kept flicking his tail against the males side, making sure to keep him at peace. No one was ever taking him away again. And everything about their current surroundings screamed to keep him alert. The forest around them was so dense that, at times, he couldn't even see Jasper or Mariko around the trees that surrounded them.
He slowed as Jasper finally stopped and gasped a bit at his suggestion. "We can't just stop! We're in the middle of no man's land!"

Constantly having to run kept Aba quite jumpy. The only thing keeping him calm at times was Jaylun's comfort. He had grown so attached to the male in a rather short period of time.
The sudden suggestion of stopping made Aba's heart beat faster. Aba didn't like having to be on the run. But he liked the alternative even less; getting caught again. He never wanted to be taken from Jay's side again.
Aba moved a little closer to Jaylun and whimpered very softly.

Mariko flopped down next to where Jasper had stopped. Like Jasper, she was definitely alright with the idea of stopping. She glanced at Jaylun and Aba and said, "Come on...you guys are tired too. If the vamps show up again we'll fight them off...besides we haven't seen any in days." She looked at Jasper then. "Maybe they gave up. Heh."

Jasper couldn't help but laugh at Mariko suggestion. Vampire never gave up, after all, they lived forever so why not spend a few years of your infinite life chasing after a group of run-aways? "Well one thing you have right, is we haven't seen any of them in quite a few days. So, I say it's worth the risk for use to catch up on some sleep. We just need to find a small clearing and we'll be fine for a few das, and then we can head out again. Sound like a plan?" Jasper glanced from Jaylun, to Aba, then back to Jay again.
Jaylun fidgeted a bit. He was tired, and he could tell Aba was as well. But if anyone caught up with them...He shook his head. They couldn't just keep running for the rest of their lives. They'd have to take a few risks every now and then. He sighed and turned to look Aba directly in the eyes. "We seriously need some rest...I won't let anyone take you away. I promise. Cross my heart." He crossed his heart with his paw and smiled gently at his companion.

Aba glanced at the others briefly, but kept his eyes on Jaylun for the most part. He finally smiled a little and sighed as he got used to the thought of resting. He nodded, agreeing to wait and rest for a while. He looked around briefly, wondering where they would stay.

Mariko was glad they had all agreed. Taking a break was risky, but the risk would be worth it she thought. They'd have to come up with some sort of plan eventually. Mariko still wasn't even entirely sure why the vampires were chasing after them in the first place.
She also looked around, wondering the same thing as Aba. "We need to find a place that wont be easy for them to find us."
((So...I was wondering what time it was? Cuz you would think in their situation it would be smart for them to sleep during the day, and be on the run at night. Right? So like, maybe it's morning and they are wanting to find a place to sleep for the day?? What do you guys think? They will probably want to look for a place with enough light or something...))

Jasper nodded his head, "We need to find a sunny spot, where the sun won't cover us in too much shade. It'll be hard for them to consider us becoming suddenly nocturnal and sleeping in the sun. Plus, if they try sneaking up on use their skin would give them away. We just need to manage to find a big enough clearing...." That was going to be the hardest part. They weren't exactly in the ruight woods for spacious lounging.
Jaylun simply kept nodding his head as they both spoke. They had more experience running from these monsters then he did. So he trusted what Jasper was saying to be true.

Mariko tilted her head as she looked at Jasper. "Their skin?" She wondered what he meant by that. She wasn't an expert on vampires, but she figured Jasper knew what he was talking about.
Well she was sure that Vampires couldn't go into the sun, for whatever reason. So going into the sun seemed logical to her. She wondered how she would sleep in the sun, but she figured she would manage.
