Perfume (パフューム ,Pafyūmu?) is a female J-pop and electropop group from Hiroshima, consisting of Ayano Ōmoto, Yuka Kashino and Ayaka Nishiwaki, who debuted locally in 2001 (Ōmoto in 2003) and nationally in 2005.
Since 2003, Perfume have been produced by Yasutaka Nakata, founder of the group capsule and the contemode label. From 2005 to 2008, they have released six major singles.
Members
Perfume members use their nicknames on stage or TV rather than their real names. Kashino was called Yuka-chan when they sung "Jenny wa gokigen naname" and "Perfume", but she then was named Kashiyuka in order to distinguish her from Yuuka, who was called Kawayuka then.
