Moony -morsmordre-  I'm speaking, of course, of the widely known ship of Albus Severus/Scorpius brought about after the releasing of the final installment in the Harry potter series, Deathly Hallows. IT IS NOT A CONTINUATION OF HARRY/DRACO. IT IS ITS OWN SHIP. In order to actually be CONSIDERED Harry/Draco, it'd definitely have to meet the following criterias: +House rivalry
+Angry smex.
+Total Arse-ishness all around.
Seeing as Albus and Scorpy are both slytherins, the interhouse rivalry is void. They are NOT angry, they are adorable and in love ^_^ (Not right away, mind you. I'll have none of this "I LOVE YOU FOREVER MY LOVE, YOUR EYES ARE THE COLOR OF THE MOONWELLS OF THE DARKSHORES heart ) (Why yes, that WAS a giant WoW reference.) And they are not egotistical arses. Sure, Scorpys a LITTLE egotistical, but nothing like Draco and nowhere NEAR James. (In my mind ^_^ Although Al is more of an Andromeda like Slytherin, nice and all- just cunning. And... he looks good in green biggrin ) So, in conclusion- As/s is not a continuation of H/D. Its going where no man has gone before... (Scorpys pants.) rofl [[[[And now a word from my OTP:  (awe biggrin )]]]]] I had this as a previous forum, and now I'm posting it here! ^_^

Aw, I love this ship! heart It's my second-fave slash ship in the Potterverse. (Nothing beats the puppies, which - if your siggy is anything to go by - you think them too! whee )
Anyway, I definitely agree that AS/S is not Harry/Draco because I love AS/S and I don't think H/D makes any sense at all, hence I have never shipped them. However, how do you know Al is in Slytherin? Did JKR say so in an interview somewhere that I missed? I realise that 60% of fan fics make Al a Slythy, but that doesn't mean he was for sure.
I'm probably going to write one where Al is in Ravenclaw just because I've never seen it done before. 40% of the time he's a Gryff and only ONCE did I see a fic where he and Scorpius asked the Hat to make them Puffs on purpose. Lemme tell you, that was odd! Besides, being named after the two most intelligent people in the series (Dumbledore and Snape) has to count for something, right? Because of that, I hate fan fics where Al is oblivious and whatnot.
Scorpius' personality is usually consistent no matter who the author is; he's basically a nicer version of Draco. You know, he's a bit haughty towards some people, and has refined taste and such. He's never prejudiced, though. He's also a Slythy in every fic I've read except three. Twice he was Ravenclaw and in that weird one he was a Puff.
But Al...He can be portrayed numerous ways. Sometimes, he's really shy and nervous (judging by the epilogue in DH I agree with that representation) and other times he's SUPER friendly and loved by everyone. Either way, Scorpius is almost invariably smarter than Al. I certainly imagine Scorpius as being clever, but if Al is going to live up to his namesake (as we know by a comment made by Harry in DH that James Sirius Potter does), then Al shouldn't be written as someone annoyingly clueless.
On a side not, isn't Scorpius' name horrible? Even when fic authors try to give him a nickname, Scorp and Scor don't sound much better. Honestly, Draco and Austeria must have been smoking gillyweed when they named him!
Because you brought up this ship you're probably going to have some Rose/Scorpius shippers come in here and argue that their ship is cuter. I find that concept incredibly irritating, which is strange considering that Hermione/Draco doesn't bother me.

And nothing beats the Marauders era! She hasn't specifically said that Al is slytherin- but honestly would it MATTER? He's still a little slytherin to me. Not evil though. I see him as intelligent, sort of like Sirius- he doesn't have to try at all. And he's quite and a loner- a little bit of an emo kid (because he's ADORABLE). Rose is his best friend. But he doesn't come across as a total LOSER, he's just quite. And his slytherin-ness comes in with his ability to get away with ANYTHING because he's a really good liar. My Scorpius is NOT like Draco. He's obviously a bit egotistical, but not as much as Draco and nowhere NEAR James. He doesn't like the other slytherins much, but he acts like he does to fit in. He thinks their boring and they have no personality. He doesn't have any hate for mudbloods, because although he may look like Draco (except less pointy), he's really not like him. And he's very sarcastic. Scorpius' name IS terrible xD I call him Scorpy! So does Rose. I DO like Rose/Scorpy, but Al/Scorpy is my favorite. and In my opinion, cuter. Because Al is so much cuter. :] In an idea for a fic that I have, Scorpius comes to Al asking for help getting Rose to go out with him. But then he realizes it's Al he really wants <3 And Al does not look like Harry because Harry is ugly and gross and ew and he needs to DIE and burn in HELL because he is an ARSE. :]

I prefer the Marauders' era over any other. razz I think the characters from then are the most interesting. Call me blasphamous, but I wish JKR's series had possessed the Marauders as the main characters instead of the Golden Trio.
Aw, you hate Harry? He's not in my Top 10 Fave HP Characters, but I still think he's a great person. He'd make a good father because being a parent is important to him since he never knew his own parents. I know that I would never be forgiving enough to name my child after someone that made me miserable and humiliated on purpose even if he was in love with my mother. exclaim
But, of course, you don't have to make Albus have any traits except for the green eyes since JKR goes out of her way to mention them. I just imagine Albus looking a great deal like Harry (the green eyes, the glasses, the messy black hair, the absence of Weasley freckles) just because it says in DH: "The new boy resembled Draco as much as Albus resembled Harry." I agree; Scorpius is less pointy-looking than Draco. 3nodding Scorpius looks more...hmm...I guess the word I'm looking for is 'approachable.' Scorpius doesn't slick back his hair either, as I always imagined Draco doing.
I prefer Slythy Albus to the Gryff one because I think the family discord it causes is interesting. I like fics where Ginny is upset when Al is put in Slytherin. I still wanna write a Ravenclaw Al, though.
Ooh, I love it when Rose and Al are close! 4laugh Actually, I absolutely adore fics where Al, Rose, and Scorpius are ALL really good friends! heart I don't understand the stoiries where Scorpius and Lily are good friends. I've never known any young teenage boys (emphasis on young) in real life to be close friends with a girl two years younger than himself unless he was romantically interested in her. Two years older, certainly, but not younger.
I haven't read an AS/S fic with that plot before. I'd definitely read it if you wrote it. whee

The marauders era obviously kicks any other eras a**. I do wish JKR wrote about the marauders, but it would probably highly disappoint, seeing as I already have set personalities for all of the marauders in my head. And there of course would be a devastating lack of slash. D: Awe.
I like a Harry a bit more than I did a little while ago, but god. ANGSTY LITTLE GIT. And terrible name chooser, as well. Obviously Ginny didn't get a say. And I agree, naming your son after a miserable old miser who lusted after your mother and managed to still treat you like crap? Someones been smoking gillyweed.
Of course Al retains his messy black hair, freckle-less ness and sexy green eyes. Because it's a must have. And yes! Exactly- Scorpius I see as being more approachable. And cuter :B Dracos face is too... harsh. I see scorpius hair as falling over his eye, kind of spiked. Because I'm a sucker for hot little emo kids. Which is why I see most of the hot characters as a little emo xD But I do have a valid Reason as to why I see Remus hair with Bangs covering his face. Seeing as he's a werewolf, sort of shy- he wants to hide from the world. He doesn't want to much attention brought to himself.
I don't really like Ginny, so upset Ginny over Al being in Slytherin is great. I think Al would be the most troubled, though. But he knows he's not an evil arrogant slimy git, so he's not traumatized. And I don't see Al as being bookish enough to be a ravenclaw.
Rose and Al seem like they'd be best buds biggrin I've never seen a fic where Scorpius and Lily are friends. Weird.
I haven't actually started that fic- I know the storyline and the characters personalities. I'm working on my Remus/Sirius fics first.
