Nhad jumped a bit when a human man with a cloth over his eye suddenly addressed her. She blinked a few times, recoiling at the threatening sound of his voice as best she could, and tried her best to look innocent, "I not assault you humans, you the ones that tie me up!" she pouted, trying to remember what little she knew about human manners, "I...apologize if I startle you. It happens a lot."

Wynn lays under a small shelter he built himself waking up to the comotion of battle and such. Oh god a battle, and I missed it. Wynn says in a sleep voice well i better get ready as he picks up his sword and puts his eye patch back over his missing eye.

Apollo looked quizically at the girl-monster. He was not expecting her to speak, let alone as well as she was.
I can tell you are not like your monstrous brethren over there. I see hesitation and fear, not the typical monster anger and malice. If I untie you, will you attack?

Nhad shifted her gaze around briefly, eyeing the other soldiers, "Of course not. Well, I might if you step on my tale. But that just reflex. You humans smart, and not do that, ok?" she warned. She didn't like people touching her tale at all, but stepping on it was the worst.

Yet again the skilled one-eyed archer was suprised. She had feelings. Not something Apollo was expecting. Instead of calling a soldier to untie her, he did it himself so that he could show he was not afraid.
There. You are free. Are you going to run? If so, I give my word that you will be safe. If you stay, we can provide you a meager home. We do not have much but we survive.

Lythe had started by wandering west of Grado and after some unfortunate events and many odd moments he finally found himself in Cear Palyn. No one seemed to mind that he had wandered into town as he wasn't threatening anyone and seemed to lost to be much of a threat. After a few minutes of standing in place looking around he finally went into the shade of a tree and took a nap.

((XP It's been awhile but I might as well post))
Nhad tilted her head to the side as she rolled her wrists to get rid of the stiffness. Running away sounded like a nice idea. But what if she ran into more humans? This one in particular had shown her kindness of a sort. Mercy, a word she had rarely heard in the past, but it fit for whatever reason. Other humans might not be such. And she also wreaked of them by now. Other monsters wouldn't like that much.
"Nhad stay here for now. Too tired to go far," she sighed to emphasize her point, "You been good human to me. I trust you. Other humans still fear me, and so not worth trusting," she elaborated. She had never felt indebted to someone before, or thankful at all for that matter. Something in her mind told her it was the right thing to do, even if her serpent blood called him easy prey. The humanized side was what she relied on the most, and as such what she normally chose to listen to.

Jaren trudged across the sands of his homeland Jehanna. "Stupid sand." He muttered as the sand in question rushed to fill his mouth. Coughing and sputtering his hands flew to his mouth in order to wipe the sand from his tounge accidentaly knocking off the bandanna he had tied around his eyes to prevent sand from getting in. He thought it was clever... the only drawback was that he couldn't see where he was going and as a result had been lost in the desert for three days now.
"Gah!" he shouted as the sandstorm that he had wandered into whipped his bandanna away and brought sand in his eyes. Stumbling backwards the clumsy swordfighter fell on his but in the sand causing his last water canteen fall of the sash he had tied around his waist the sword in the sash then fell at the perfect angle causing the canteen to be punctured.
"No!" Jaren tried to scream but the sandstorm took his voice away as his water was swallowed by the sand.
"Why?!" Was all he asked before getting up and trudging in a random direction.
meanwhile in Cear Pelyn
"Heh!" the mage grunted casting a quick fire on the mauthe dog charging his left. The dog exploded into flames and fell to the ground as Derrin turned to face the bael coming at him. Flipping the page of the tome he was about to cast another fire when he relized something awful. He had just used the last page. "Cait!" He shouted backing away from the advancing spider.
The man on the horse heard Derrin yelling and turned his helmeted head in the direction. Without a word he reared his horse and threw his spear at the monster. Whistling through the air the spear pireced the bael and it stumbled falling on the ground. Despite the spear in its side the monster managed to get up... Until a second spear joined the first.
"Thanks!" Derrin was already pulling the thunder tome out of his pouch and reading it swiftly casting it repeatedly at the advancing horde of monsters.
"Where are they coming from?" Sara asked quickly of an old man by her side as she knocked another arrow aside her horse and loosed it at a beal coming on Caits left. the armored man swiftly turned with his sword drawn and cut the rest of it down. Waving his hands at his sister in the sign language for thanks.
"Your welcome! now don't make me repaet the question why are monsters attacking Cear pelyn?" She glared at the old man.
W-we dont know! They just showed up out of darkling woods and started attacking! Thank the Saint you heros were staying at the Inn. "Hah!" Sara fired another arrow. "It's not like were doing this for free! We expected to be paid handsomely for risking our lives!"
What?!
Derrin's voice suddenly rose above the sounds of battle.
"As much as I hate to admit it I think that they're to many for us to hold off much longer!" He cried out as a lightning bolt struck a revenant splitting it in half. Two more simply began lurching in his direction.
"We need help!"

Lythe woke up with a start and stood up very quickly then stumbled as he took a step. Someone needed help, and something was going on. He felt something familiar, a bad familiar, but he couldn't place what it was until he saw some people fighting what looked to be zombies. Then he remembered what the feeling was, it was the feeling of darkness.
"Of course, silly me, how could I forget about the... Wait a second... Why are they... Damn, I can't remember."After spending a moment thinking he realized that people were in danger and rushed to the battle struggling to pull out his flux tome. After a few moments of grunts and curses he pulled out his old tome and enveloped at revenant in darkness, killing it.
"I know this isn't a good time, but why are the creatures of darkness alive?"He couldn't for the life of him remember what kept them from coming to this world in the first place but he did remember that their presence was a bad thing.
