So I am a chorus singer, and we do a lot of church music that praises god and such, but I'm really exploring druidism and such, so is it bad that i sing what other religions believe to be true, or is it semi ok because I don't believe it?

I've sat in the same boat before, usuallly at band Chirstmas concerts. In fact right now we are playing Psalm 46 and I'm celtic reconstruction (which no one knows). Its not something you can help, especially if you enjoy being in the chorus. I don't think you have anything to worry about, its just the songs that your chorus is doing, nothing more then that!

There are also lots of Christian witches out there, don't worry, there's nothing wrong with even creating your own faith if you want!
Hey Ryu, I'm interested. Can you explain your Celtic Reconstruction?

I actually have a friend who is a Catholic witch. It is interesting, but they do hold Mary with a respect no male being in the history of Christianity can compare to. It is almost as if she is sacred in a way that Jesus couldn't be.
(Sorry if that offends anyone, just stating an opinion.)

My celtic reconstructionism? What do you mean by that, exactly?

Sorry, I just meant your definition of it. What I've read of it is pretty confusing.

Though I never really cared for Jesus and all his mumble-jumble miracles I've come to save your soul stuff, Mary seemed like a strong independent woman who wasn't afraid to stand up to the machoness. Actually, I'm pretty sure that's not a word. Oh well.

Electric Snowball Sorry, I just meant your definition of it. What I've read of it is pretty confusing. Oh, I wasn't sure if you wanted to know what it was or what sweatdrop silly me! For me its following the beliefs of the Celts as best as I can, adapting where necessary (I certainly can't sacrifice a horse or anything y'know), and such...I'm really new and trying to figure it out myself. I'm drawn to the Irish Celtic Gods and many beliefs both fit me and are comforting to me and I really can't say too much more right now. If you ever wanted a general overview there's a really great site, CR FAQ, that's easy to find off of google. I don't know if I answered your question at all but...that's what I cant hink of to say!

Knowing that Llewellyn can publish some fluffs, I'd say this book is one of those that are not part of the fluff category.

That's a fine definition. I admit I've read the whole mythology section in the reference department of our small school library, so I kind of get it. Though I can see why it needs reconstructing if they sacrificed horses...

There was a big thing behind sacrificing horse (they wre revered and the sacrifice was done inorder to find which person the goddess of sovereignty of the area wanted for king/high king and such) but the reconstuction is more to do with the fact that somethings have been lost over the years. Celtic tradition was very oral and as such very little was written down. Today you have wade through to find whats been hidden, adapted, changed and what not. There are seriously better people to explain this but I hope you get jist of it.
