Hope you don't mind, but I moved this to the main forum since it didn't have anything to do with VX specifically.
Personally, I like XP. First reason is because it's an got official English translation, so it makes it easier to use (I remember that I was sometimes confused by untranslated/mistranslated things in the 2k/3 translations. It's got better graphics capabilities (though I will be the first to admit that while better graphics can help, graphics alone can't make a game good) in addition to being able to use sprites of various sizes. And I've seen some truly amazing things accomplished with RUBY scripting.
2k/3 will always have a place in my heart though. But that's mainly because of the sheer amount of resources that are available for it. I mean, s**t, the Charas website alone has several thousand resources.
XP and VX, however, don't seem to have any large collection of resources built up in any one place, that doesn't require you to pick through forums. Well, not yet anyways. Hopefully they will soon though.
