You know lots of people advertise things on tv or online as FREE. Why is it that after you go online to what ever was being advertised...you find out sooner or later that there's a catch to it.

For instances: I was watching tv in my mom's room while I was on my laptop. This add for an online rpg comes on & they say play for free. I go there & im like: wow this is cool! About 9 almost 10 levels later...I find out in order 2 do some quests I need a special pass. In order to get that pass i either have 2 pay $ or get a friend 2 join and THEY have 2 pay $.

Another example. Gaia is supposed 2 be a free online thing. Why is it then in order to get certain things you have to spend Gaia CASH instead of Gaia GOLD?

So what I'm getting at w/my rant...why say something is free...when theres a catch to it? I know the sites need a way to raise $ to keep things going, but still. Don't claim its free if its not. Not every one can afford to spend $ on things just to continue on with something.

Glad to see I'm not alone in this. As I said I know people need $ 2 run things but still its stupid to say: HEY! JOIN US WERE FREE! when instead they should say: HEY! JOIN US! THERE'S A SMALL FEE INVOLVED THOUGH! but if they did that then they wouldn't get business I know. But it still sucks for the fact there have been lots of evolving items that i've wanted but can't get cause of the whole Gaia CASH not GOLD. *Sighs* lame but oh well

i kno that is so lame i have a game i play that u have to earn coins or bars coins u get from playing games and bars u have to pay RL money for em and almost everything costs bars and if u cant get bars u gotta pay coins by the 13k full its so annoying but to stop the nagging they added a special option called earn bars through surveys so i did a bunch and u know what they did? I GOT NO BARS FOR ANY OF EM!!!! god this crap is annoying

eek WTFH...?! stare that is just sooooo messed up. see that's what I hate about stuff like this is cause they just wanna f**k people over...& ya know how the evolving items on here u have 2 get with Gaia CASH well what I also find stupid is that when ur doing normal shopping on Gaia is that usually an item is cheaper 2 get IF you pay w/CASH NOT GOLD. stare which I find TOTALY STUPID! I mean come on! why should an item like a coat, ONE STUPID COAT, be worth 3,000 Gaia Gold and then be like under or almost 100 Gaia Cash. It's barbaric!

True, very true....but I guess these site have to keep running somehow. With our RL money, they can make merch and upgrades and that racks in more money for them. Its all about money with online sites.
