I donate blood when they roll around my campus. I've never had a bad experience (I'm pretty afraid of needles though).
Turned out I'm O negative. C:

I have donated twice so far, and just recently received another blood donor card because someone stole the wallet that my first one was in. I am type B+, and so is my sister, which is awesome.
I had a great experience both times(I fill those bags up fast!), though the second time the lady who was taking my blood had a very heavy accent and I could hardly understand her questions. @_@

This thread just prompted me to go look up whether I can donate or not while breastfeeding..
*a few minutes later*
"Pregnancy, Nursing Persons who are pregnant are not eligible to donate. Wait 6 weeks after giving birth."
.. I guess that means it's ok? I'm not sure if my local health clinic takes donations, but I can always go ask and see. I'd probably just have to double up on the water intake.

I'd love to do it but im so scared of needles.
And I dunno of a group that would take it that dosent do animal testing. crying
