More will be added here as we go, I'm certain.
Everyone is welcome to make their own threads in this forum, be it private or public RPs. Please label your threads [PUB] or [ORP] if others are allowed to join, with [PRV] or [PRP] for threads that one must be invited to join. RPs labeled [FIN] should be for those that are finished, and will no longer be posted in. [LOG] for RPs made through PM or IM are welcome as well, and typically these will not allow posts except for the thread creator to post their saved transcripts in.
Open or not, it is commonly courteous to ask permission to post if there is active RP going on in a thread, just in case the characters you would be interacting with would be interrupted from something they were planning to do.
Private RPs are as listed; Private. Do not post in these threads unless you have already been given permission to do so BY the thread creator. Do not post in the thread asking if you may join.
Nobody is posting in my RPs! That's not fair. I'm going to go into the main shop and whine about it until someone posts.
~No. Mentioning your RP when you create it is fine, mentioning it if someone happens to comment that they'd enjoy an RP is as well... However, if it just looks like you're flat-out complaining that you don't have people posting we're probably going to say something. Before you do that, stand back and look at your thread. Are there some changes you could make in order for people to like the setting a bit more? Is your thread too similar to a thread that others are already posting in?
Are we allowed to create shop-setting RPs?
~Sure! Just... Don't be snooping around where you don't belong. Customers and visitors are typically never allowed into the back rooms or corridors without permission or good reason. IF their pets take them somewhere, this may or may not be applicable. If you're worried it might get you in trouble, post in the thread asking about it first. Better to ask permission, than to go through with your RP only to get scolded for it later.
Do Cosplays have the same powers as the characters they are based off of?
~Yes, but we expect you to be reasonable. Please consider the feelings of those you are playing with and the side effects of these powers. Among friends all might be well and good, but someone new to RPing with you might not appreciate a character with supernatural powers. Know when to bring these traits into play, and when to leave them out of it. A magic using character can live without casting magic. If you must use magic, don't be destroying any part of the main shop OR bring people into danger or effect that were not already - or do not want to be - involved. If problems arise from this, there will be changes made. Don't ruin it for everyone.
So-and-so's character was so rude to me! I don't want to RP with them anymore, they're mean.
~Well, nobody can force you who to RP with, but we expect everyone to accept the idea that there ARE characters and pets out there that just have unfriendly personalities. Hard as you try, they're always going to be mean. There's really nothing you can do about this, unless the owner of said pet/character wants you to, so... Try interacting with a different character of theirs, don't assume that they're just trying to treat you badly.
