"Sounds like a plan. Got nothing to lose, right ?" Sei commented as he started going though the many pockets of his jacket, eventually coming out with a blue gel pen that was then tapped a bit, betraying that it was probably nearing the end of it's gel supply.
It already kind of helped he was around often, and knew head-on what the atmosphere was like, and the potential trouble he might need to have to deal with.

Ken blinked, having not really expected him to want to fill it out right then and there. But....well, hell, HE wasn't gonna complain. Reaching under the counter, he found the large pad of applications and peeled off the topmost sheet, careful not to rip it before handing it over to Sei.
"And while you do that, I'm gonna get this finished up, and then get to count how many copies of Guitar Hero: Metallica we got in this morning." he said, eyeing the still-sealed box behind the counter. One of the guilty pleasures of being a video game store clerk was being able to tell all the obnoxious people who came in looking for a not-released title they didn't have it yet, even though they'd been sitting on a shipment of it for the last week or so (and had probably already cracked open a copy to play after-hours in some cases).

"Gotcha."
And thus, Sei turned from where he had been somewhat laying against the counter to a more comfortable writing position, and started to write down the required information. His handwriting seemed a bit blocky, but unlike most of the other applications Kendall had gotten, was perfectly readable.
"Hm, do they want my real age on that, or whatever I happen to look like ?" It was always an issue. He'd put down his birthdate, employers would go "what the hell, you're what, 4 years old ?" and he would promptly lose all credibility he had. Had they never heard of fast-growing beings ? Pffft.

"For credibility, probably put down your real age." Ken informed him, the pencil scratching now and again on the clipboard. "I'm gonna be the one reading it, so..." there was a shuffle and shift of paper as he turned to the next sheet to skim it over, marking notes where applicable.
"Guess time's taking its toll on you here?" he asked. It was a fair question and a known fact that Gaia's time effected everyone differently. What was twenty years to some was only two to another. It did not, however, make it any the less disquieting sometimes to find out the smoking hot girl you were secretly undressing with your eyes when she wasn't looking was only two years old...

"Well, you could technically say that." That finally seemed to coax a grin out of the blonde, who then scribbled down his age. "Ill'd technically be 4 years old, give or take... but for some reason, it's definitively felt longer than that, you know ? Sometimes I think about it and wonder just how I've seen all that I've seen in just 4 years, you know ? I guess everyone has moments like that..."
With that, he continued filling the form. "Say, do you guys actually repair consoles, or just sell games ? 'cause I know how to handle electronics if that can come in handy."

Kendall listened to him talk, looking up from the clipboard briefly to acknowledge him. "I think I know what you mean." he replied. "Some people need a whole lifetime to cram in enough experiences to call it fulfilling. Some people manage it in only a couple years." His tail gave a slight swish behind him, and he gave a chuckle. "Sometimes those people make me jealous, I'll be honest."
At the next question, he shook his head and returned his attention to the clipboard, skimming another wall of text before initialing the bottom of the form. There. At least THAT was done. "We don't actually repair them here. What we usually do is box'em up and mail them to a guy in Durem who does, and then he sends them back with his invoice. But...." he relented. "....that might be helpful. I'd probably have to talk to the district manager about it, though." On the one hand, they might take exception to an employee handling customer electronics in case he ruined them even further. On the other hand, they were usually looking for ways to cut costs...

"I dunno, there's days where it sometimes feels like more hassle than it's worth, to be completely honest on my front too. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side, doesn't it ?" The blonde gave another chuckle as he continued to fill out the details on the sheet of paper.
He acknowledged the answer with a nod. "Yeah, I figured it was something like that. Seems like that's how most places work on that aspect."

"Well, either way....I wouldn't worry too much." Ken told him. "If it helps any, you're already heads above the other people who've applied, and I've not even interviewed you yet."
Eying something near the bottom of the clipboard, he laid it on the counter to duck below the counter, out of sight for a moment as he rummaged for something in one of the cabinets, confirming for the checksheet that the store did, indeed, have three rolls of plastic bags in supply for customer use.

"Really ?" Well, that was both comforting and surprising, and he finished noting down the information, folded the sheet of paper neatly and slid it on the counter back at Kendall.
"Got all the wierd ones, hm ?" Oh, he'd -seen- them. He'd seen a girl basically rush out of an interview once, crying her eyes out. It wasn't even all that bad, only three guys and one woman asking questions. He'd been told the only way he had blown that up was that he looked way too young, but that was before... well, he did not like to talk about it.

"I've gotten....well, you hang out here. I bet you've seen some of them." Ken snerked, picking up Sei's application, red-and-gold eyes skating over the required fields to ensure they'd all been filled in. Sometimes they missed a box or two. HE didn't hold it against them, but the office got their panties in a bunch if everything wasn't done just right.
Everything, however, looked in order. And in legible handwriting too...he would give Sei personal props for that.
"Okay." he said at last when he'd reached Sei's signature at the bottom without incident. "Well, I'm gonna be sorting through applications, probably tomorrow night, and I'll be doing my callbacks the next day. I'll talk to you then." he said with a smile.
He couldn't, flat out, tell Sei he planned to hire him unless the mythical beast that was The Perfect Applicant descended from on-high to enter the store. There was no rule, however, about implication.

"Yup!" Ken assured him. "Good to meet ya, Sei." he said, offering him a wave before storing the application safely under the counter with the other papers that would be accompanying him back to the office when his shift was over.
That was, at least, one less thing to worry about.
