I became Pagan about 2-3 years ago, and I'm a little slow with all these terms and pieces of information, and I have a question floating around in my mind that I need answered. What is an energy vampire? what exactly do they do?

An energy vampire is like a regular vampire, just without the blood part of it. Usually found in cities (the bigger the better), energy vampires feed of energy and emotions of other people. To do so, they focus on the aura of their victim and start to manipulate their emotions, whether it be by pleasure or anger (depending on the 'flavor' that the vampire is going after). They take the energy emitted by the victim and uses it to 'fill out' or 'complete' their own aura, which is weak or has holes in it. Good 'feeding' spots are busy places of high emotions and energy, such as concerts and clubs. In these places, it is easy to take a small piece of energy from multiple victims instead of completely draining one. Yes, it is easy to nearly kill a person by taking too much of their life energy at once.
Don't be afraid to ask if you have more questions, but I think that's a pretty decent overview from what I've gathered through research and experience.
