Shui sighed when he saw what was making the sound that Etoile heard. Its was a small stream with little waterfalls every so long in it. He walked towards it through the bushes and brought Etoile with him.
He walked over to the edge of the stream and sat down, his feet barely dangling in the water over the edge. He patted the spot beside him with his free hand, motioning for her to sit down.

((It's okay darln' :3 My laptop is kaput too, so it'll be a while for me to answer back now sweatdrop ))
Etoile was a bit surprised. She thought it was something familiar to her, but an earthern river was nothing she was expecting.
"Oh, this isn't Milky" she sighed. What a let down to her; she was feeling slightly homesick at the moment. But she shrugged it off and sat by Shui closely, taking a hold of his hand. She rubbed it gently. Setting her lantern in the ground beside them so that it dangled above the water like a firefly.
"...This is nice." she murred. The watery sounds making their way down was a chime to her ears.

Shui still wasnt used to the contact with another and blushed when Etoile rubbed his hand. He looked at her lantern, hanging like a little firefly, trying to get himself to calm down. Thats when he thought he saw another lantern not too far from hers. He squinted his eyes to see what it was. It turned out not to be another lanturn, but an actual firefly. As he sat watching it he started to notice more of the little glowing bugs flying around them.
He pointed them out to Etoile and tried to catch one gently in his hand. He ended up missing, but having one land on his face where his nose would be if he were an earthen.

Etoile stared curiously at the firefly on Shui's nose. She giggled. The lights reminded her of the kofairys that also wandered around these parts. She tried to catch it off of his cute little nose, but missed, accidently, softly, smacking him there. The glowing bug fluttered around them with the flock.
"Ack! Shui! Are you okay??" Etoile sounded horrified she smacked Shui! Quickly her hand was rubbing his little nose and she looked indefinetly worried.
but soon enough she didn't think that would help him much and gave him a kiss there instead. Humans who were together would kiss eachothers boo-boos. So it must've made them feel better if so.

Shui was surprised at the smack, it hadnt hurt but he hadnt been expecting it either. Then Etoile was rubbing his nose and before he knew it, she kissed him. After that he blushed brightly with shyness. Kissing was one thing that made him nervous, he had no idea why but it did.
He nodded to her question absentmindedly, still bright red from the kiss. He forgot all about the smack on his nose and the firefly that had been residing there a moment ago.
He rubbed his hands together before quickly leaning in and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before turning his head to look at the water. He felt so strange about doing that he thought he would burst with emotion. He wasnt normally like this so he was a bit confused, the confusion slightly showing on his face.

Etoile's face seemed a bit perplexed. Was Shui too shy of emotion? Well, duh. Of course he was. She would know by now, don't you think?
"So, this is water. It's a human life source, right...?" She twirled one of her feet in it. It was very chilly, but she continued to do so. Dazingly she viewed out the rest of the way the current of the stream flowed and the river banks it carved out.
"What do you think is at the end? Where does it lead..." she rubbed her horn, curiously.

Shui nodded at her question then pointed to the direction it was flowing to say thats where it went. He didnt know what was at the end of this river, or where it lead to. He got up with a smile and held out his hand to her, looking quickly in the direction the current was flowing and then down to her.
Maybe they could find out where it went together.
((I am going to rp as if he hasnt grown yet, we'll save that for another rp i guess, or later in this one ^^))

Etoile understood by his look and took his hand, which helped her to get up. Taking up her lantern and resting it on her shoulder in her usual fashion.
"That sounds nice. A riverside walk then!" she smiled. Then holding his hand she started down in front of him. Leading the way with her little candle, brushing aside the tall rivergrass. She realized just as the Milky Way was the lifesource that made everything in the Heaven s beautiful, tbis river with water did the same thing. Everything was so lush and green!
"I just hope we don't get lost in this thicket o.o"

Shui walked briskly behind Etoile, keeping good pace with her as they waded through the grass, which was up to their waists. He looked at the river as they followed it until he heard Etoile exclaim that she hoped they didnt get lost. He squeezed her hand and smiled, then pointed to the small amount of stars they could see through the trees. They both were from the other side of the moon and could find their way with those stars. He looked back down at her with a happy look in his eyes. He knew they were great together.

Etoile nodded in response to what Shui meant. He was right! The stars were alos like a map to many; moonlore creatures and the humans alike. They couldn't possibly get lost. Etoile had completely forgotten about that. In fact, the whole Universe was a gigantic map as well for the constellations.
"How long does this river go on?" Etoile whispered to herself. Her lantern lit the way, but the darkness of night cloaked everything else around them. It still bugged her that she was afraid of earthern darkness.
"YEEK!!" Etoile squeaked and backed up sharply. something in the brush just ahead had made contact with her! Etoile backed all the way up into Shui behind her, causing both to tumble into the grass. Etoile almost fell off the riverbank!!

Shui was startled by the cry in front of him, and when he was knocked over he held on tight to Etoile so that she wouldnt fall into the river, or at least not without him there to help her out. When he was sure they werent going to fall he lifted his head to look and see what had caused her to shriek. When he saw what it was he gave a giggle. It was a deer. It looked at him and he looked back. Then another head popped out, a baby deer. So this was a mother and child.
Shui sat up and helped Etoile up so she could see what had bumped into her.

Quivering and basicallt glued to Shui, she cuddled up into him and glanced over. Deer? They almost looked like their cousins, the Phyri. Relieved that it wasn't anything malacious, Etoile let out a sigh.
"O-Oh. It's just Earthern Phyri...I have to admit, they seem a lot more animal like than our cousins." Etoile picked up her lantern and held it up so she could get a clearer view of the creatures. the baby kind of reminded her of herself. Small...

Shui was glad she wasnt scared. He didnt want her to be afraid of anything. He got up when she did and walked over to the two deer. Looking back at Etoile and holding out a hand to have her come over. He looked back at the earthen Pyhri, known as deer, to make sure they were still there and not frightened away by the two of them.

Etoile shyly walked over and grasped Shui's hand quickly. She felt warm, and fuzzy. Knowing that shui was here to make sure she was alright made her feel warm inside. It looks like the deer weren't running away. Did they know that the Twilif and Phyri were heavenly, other-worldly deer too? Gazing at the mama, then the baby, Etoile shook her head.
"It looks like...I don't know. but it kind of feels familiar. It's like I know these deer. Maybe it was in a nother life that I knew them." she smiled. Her lantern light swaying in a cold breeze.
