ooc|| BIMK LOL xD

This was a nightmare. Brynne had been so excited at the Hatching, adrenaline and eagerness keeping her awake and active, and actually Impressing giving her the biggest high of her life. And Ixtabth was gorgeous - she'd found a half of herself she hadn't known had been there until Ixtabth's voice had snaked it's way into her mind. But right now...it certainly wasn't regret coursing through her mind, but it was a feeling she felt was wrong. Not disappointment, but just worry. She was worried that something might be wrong with the little dragon - they weren't supposed to be that afraid, were they? Or that pessimistic? She was physically exhausted from trying to force her own stubborn will on her Ixtabth, and convince her that the whole world wasn't all doom and gloom.

Where are we going, Mine? Is it a scary place? I don't want to go! Ixtabth spoke, the Dragon in question walking behind her Rider, almost hiding behind her. She was walking in a way as to attempt to hide behind Brynne's legs, only her head poking around them to watch cautiously where they were going. Brynne turned to watch her Dragon with a wide smile, dropping a hand to her side, which Ixtabth instinctively pushed her nose in to, feeling comfort in her Rider's touch.

"We're just walking through the Weyr, Ixtabth. No-one will hurt us here - we're all friends. Why don't you come out a little, and explore? You might make some friends?" she suggested, although she knew it was in vain, even before Ixtabth squeaked loudly, her head shaking in an almost comical, yet still rather violent manner. No! The world could hurt us - we've got to protect ourselves, Mine! I'm scared. Ixtabth wants to go home.

The Hatching had been a wondrous thing, provoking old memories that almost elicited tears from the bluerider. As with any other hatching he'd attended, M'zaji had reminisced about the day Kaedrelath had found him. He had watched the entire hatching with a grin, even cheering loudly when a candidate he'd searched, or knew, Impressed. One of the two candidates Kaedrelath had brought in had found her dragon; Tseka, or T'ka now, and that devilish little green. To make matters better, M'zaji had watched as a young woman, Brynne, had been found by a rather frightened green- the bluerider was pleased with the match.

He pondered on it as he strolled about, enjoying the nice weather. From the encounter he'd had with Brynne, she had seemed like a woman very sure of herself. If anyone could bring that scared little green out of her shell, figuratively of course, it would be Brynne.

<< M'zaji, look! There they are, >> Kaedrelath burst into his rider's mind with a chorus of merry wind chimes, the tinkling sound dragging a grin onto the bluerider's face. The blue dragon was up on a ledge, sunning himself, and had been watching the pair walk around for some time. "Brynne!" M'zaji called out, waving his hand in both greeting and to halt the girl. He hadn't yet had a chance to congratulate her!
