Dark eyes glared around the room harshly, as if daring anyone to cross their owner. And luckily, there was no resistance to his dominant nature. Hmph. That was the way he liked it! It didn't matter that the HQ was empty at the point... No, as long as his reign went unchallenged, he was as close to happy as he would admit to being. Happy was for sissies and females, of which he was neither. No, Marlo was merely content and that was perfectly fine by him!
Taking a momentary break from guarding his territory around the couch, he clawed idly at the scrap of fabric beneath his paw. He had kept that little thing for as long as he could remember. Well, it hadn't been so little at first, but life as a chew toy and stress manager didn't bode well for the poor, defenseless ribbon. Deep in his own little world as he picked at the scrap, he only tore his eyes away from it when he thought he heard a sound. A challenger?! Glancing quickly around the room, he was met with more nothing. Hmph. His imagination...? Grumbling, he let his head lower down onto his forepaws.

Eris walk about the HQ. She had not been here for a a while since she mainly tried to help her father in his business. Though making deliveries wasn't her idea of having fun. Constantly having to battle random fiends every now again. Her green glowing eyes shifted about. Her tails moved about briskly in the wind as she walked. Originally she was going to just sleep a bit to relax from helping her dad out.
Eris then caught whiff of something. It smelt old like fabric and it kind of made her sneeze. Then she sniffed the air a bit more and smelled that someone else was there. Her green eyes then caught site of a somewhat small kitsusagi. It wasn't one she was too familiar with. Though is all the new kitsusagi moving into the house she didn't have time to see them all. She sneaked up behind the brown and goldish kitsusagi.
"Hello," she said softly. She then gave a way of her left paw.

Dozing off wasn't something Marlo normally did when he was on guard. Well, he would simply blame it on the silence of the room around him. That was his excuse and he would stick to it fiercely. Not that he really had time to, considering how quickly he was thrown into a fit by the soft voice behind him. Jumping to his paws and wheeling around, he eyed the suddenly present female up and down a few times. What was she thinking, sneaking up on him like that?! Not that he had been startled or anything...
"What?" he bit out angrily, not caring in the least for friendly hellos and introduction. Least of all with a female! He could smell the scent of weakness on her, even if it was little more than his piggish imagination. He certainly was a brute, even if his mean spirited banter was harsher than usual. He didn't like being snuck up on! "If you don't need something important, then leave me alone! I don't have time for small talk." Huffing, he settled into a sit, waiting impatiently for her to state her peace or get out of his face.

Eris startled back a bit as the male jump and yelled at her. She didn't mean to frighten the strange looking kitsusagi. She was just used to being so quiet around others, though that she could blame on her father for that. Her green eye still seemed to be filled with a bit of happiness.
"Well.....Well...you just seemed lonely. I figure I say hello," said Eris. She then scrunched up her nose a bit. He was certainly full of spunk thought Eris to himself. "I'm Eris Strife by the way. " She smiled and swished her three brown and golden tails. She had know quiet of few different kitsu that acted the way this kitsusagi reacted to her sneaking up on them. "What is your name?" She tilted her head out of curiosity.

Wha-? Didn't this female understand what he was saying? Didn't she understand that idle chatter wasn't his thing if there was nothing in it for him in the long-run? Scowling, he shook his head. "Lonely? Not me." The expression he wore was near disbelief. Had he really seemed lonely? Ha! Hardly... Marlo didn't need something as pointless as friendship. Conversations were nothing but pointless storytime and he wasn't a kit anymore.
Well, if nothing else, he looked to be calming down a bit now. Most of his aggitation was visible only in the twitch of his little tails and the down-curve of his maw. "I don't really care," he told her childishly as she offered up her name. Eyeing her further, he scoffed. "... I'm Marlo. Not like it matters." He really had a hard time understanding what other Kitsu found so interesting about simple talking. It was hard to believe she was here for no other reason. "You sure you don't need something important? 'Cause I'm starting to care even less."

"Awww come on Mr. Grumpy." said Eris still with a happy expression on her face. She then nudge Marlo. He didn't look a little lonely. Though she could tell by his mean exterior that he was hidding something. "So your tell me your not lonely brooding here all by your lonesome self." She then made an ascude face of questioning.
"Well anyways it is nice to meet you Marlo," said Eris. "Well sometimes it does matter otherwise how would you meet someone new? Unless your batman or something like trying to hide your secret identity. " Eris was just really curious though it was in her nature. "So why are you here by yourself anyways?"
