March 19th
Raoul wandered into the clearing, looking around for a certain familiar face he hoped to see.
Tower stumbled around, after squeezing his way out of his log. His new, taller self took a lot of getting used to.
Seeing some movement of white and black, Raoul looked toward and and saw...Tower? "Hello!" Raoul cheerfully said and wandered over to him, fairly certain the elder was indeed Tower.
Tower, who was facing the other direction, whirled around, and then toppled over, "Oof!"
Raoul's eyes widened a bit when Tower toppled over, though he didn't think he was injured. "Are you alright?"
Tower sat up and looked at Raoul, nodding, "Ah-huh."
"That's good," he replied. He wasn't used to looking up to see Tower's face, though he supposed anything can be gotten used to. "So when did you grow?" he said cheerfully.
Tower nodded, his ear twitching slightly, "I don't know exactly, I just woke up and I was too big for my log!" He frowned, fluffing his tail and brushing dirt off of it. "I think...a few days ago...a week or something? I don't know!"
"Wow!" Raoul thought back to the house, remembering that Akiko had grown not too long ago as well. Maybe they grew at the same time? "So what do you think of being an Elder?" he asked, thinking that it sounds like they might have to go home hunting again.
Tower shrugged, "My tail is bigger so it keeps me warmer!" He grinned, "But now I'm too big for my log, and I keep tripping a lot." He cackled, "But it's fun being bigger than everyone when I used to be shorter!"
Raoul smiled, "That's cool! I'm glad it's fun being an Elder! And I bet you'll stop tripping once you get used to your size. We'll have to find a place for you to stay again too, but that shouldn't be too hard."
Tower nodded eagerly, "Yeah! I did the same thing every time I grew!" He beamed, "So I'll be good in a while!" He wiggled, though it was a little more tense than usual, for fear of falling over, "Yeah! But you don't have to help me! I feel bad for making you do all these things...?!"
Raoul shook his head, "Oh, I don't mind at all! Anything for a friend," he said. He wanted to say anything for you, but felt that might be a bit strange. He didn't even know whether Tower liked him like that or not.
Tower grinned, and then hugged him, "Thank you!"
Raoul hugged back, saying, "No problem!" He felt almost like lingering there, but fought that impulse. "Okay, so let's go track down a home for you!"
Tower grinned, pulling away, "Alrighty!" He wiggled, "Which way?"
Raoul looked around, "Hmmm...how about that way?" he said, pointing.
Tower nodded, and then wobbled off in the direction, singing a little song, "We're gonna find a house today! Because mine is too smaaaaaaaalll!"
Raoul smiled and hummed along, looking around for a home big enough for an Elder.
Tower cackled again, almost forgetting that Raoul was there, he began stomping around, "AHAH! I am godzirra! Rawr!"
Raoul laughed a bit, playing along, He liked Tower's energy. "Oh no! I'm going to get eaten!"
Tower grinned, lightly pawing at Raoul. But, then he tilted his head, a curious expression spreading across his face, "Why aren't you all big an elder? Aren't you older than me?"
"I don't know. Maybe it's because I spent a lot of time doing nothing?" Raoul thought back to when he had a human before Sara, and found that he really remember much of anything from then. "I had to be rehomed, so maybe that kind of stopped me from being an Elder."
Tower thought for a moment, "Maybe. But, I did a lot of nothin'." He shrugged, "Maybe it's random?"
Raoul thought about it for a moment, and said, "Yeah, it's probably random." It seemed to make most sense to him for it to be random, even if he did think that being rehomed did something.
Tower flicked his ear, "I wonder who chooses." He gasped, "Oh! What if there's some giant fairy namrah that come down and unzip your fur and then put your insides in another body! That must be how we grow!" He felt himself over, looking for a zipper.
Raoul laughed, kind of hoping that not what happens. "Now that would be interesting! And kind of creepy too." He held back on a comment along the lines of forgetting something. He didn't want to worry Tower.
Tower nodded, "It's gross!" He shrugged, "But maybe it's all magical? I looked through a book with alllllll the animals! And I didn't see any namrah in there!"
Raoul tilted his head, "All the animals? But I thought that they were discovering new animals all the time. And that would be a pretty long book." He replied. He didn't think namrah would be in there, since as far as he knew namrah only lived on this one island.
Tower shrugged, "Yeah," he blushed slightly, not admitting that it was actually a children's book with just the basic animals-lions, tigers, bears, etcetera.
Raoul smiled, saying, "It sounds like a pretty good book though. It probably had a lot of information in it." He looked around, still looking for a place for Tower to live.
Tower nodded, grinning again, "Yeah! Lots and lots!" He swished his tail, "I think I like lions the most, 'cause they have nice hair."
Raoul nodded, "I like lions too! Oh, and Dolphins because they're really playful and intellegent."
Tower nodded, "They're cute!" At this point, Tower wasn't even paying attention to the task at hand, and instead just enjoying his time with Raoul, "They make noises like, "Flippeh flippeh flippeh'!"
"Yes they do! And it sounds like they're whistling," Raoul commented. Along the same thought, he said, "Oh, and I heard that whales have very nice singing voices."
Tower grinned, "I heard someone talking about a movie, called Finding Burrito! And there was a fishy that went, "ArrrroooOOOoooooooo!" And talked to whales!"
"I don't think I've seen that movie. Did they say it was good?" Raoul asked. He wondered if Tower meant Finding Nemo, another movie that Raoul never seen.
Tower nodded, "Yeah, they sounded like they liked it!" He giggled, which looked a little strange now that he was an Elder. "The fishies sound cute."
"I wonder if the fish are excited about Spring..." Raoul wondered curiously. He wasn't sure what fish thought of.
Tower jumped up, "I'm excited for spring! And someone said I was colored like a fishee!"
"Really? I wonder which fish!" Raoul replied. He hadn't seen a fish like Tower before, but he was sure it must be a pretty fish.
