The Johto region is a large area located west of Kanto. Johto and Kanto are a single landmass, and everything west of Indigo Plateau is considered in the Johto region. Comes Visit the Goldenrod Department Store and if you haven't wasted all your money there go play for a while at the Goldenrod Game Corner. If you consider yourself worthy perhaps you can Defeat Clair the Dragon Mistress of Blackthorn City and if you win maybe she will grant you access to the Dragons den where Pokemon of the legendary dragon type reside.
