Alright, all of my facial piercings are easy to hide or take out for a job.
However, my ears are not.

I'm one of the stubborn ones and decided to stretch in a... well...
for lack of better words, redneck bible-thumping town.
(But for some reason, tattoos are accepted. Wtf!)

I already have a great job where I can basically do
whatever I want as far as the dress code goes.
But now I'm in need of a second job since my rent
is going up soon and my lease is about to end.

What excuse can I use for my ears when trying to find a job?
I've noticed that a lot of Buddhists stretch their ears...
Or maybe I can claim I'm from Africa?

Give me some ideas. Be creative!
Silly or serious.

What do you do about jobs?
Does your town seem to care about tattoos/piercings?
Do opportunities pass you because of your body mods?

You could say it was some sort of horrible accident, like my cousin got shot in the ear with a bb gun when he was a kid and now has this big hole in his ear

How large are your lobes? One of the jobs I got, I just put in clear plugs, dangly earrings in my second holes, and let my hair down. Nobody noticed.

7/16, so very large by normal standards.
(Hardly anything to huff about by ours, though, haha.)

I don't have very good hair to cover them up, though.
I'm trying to grow out my old mohawk, so my hair's only long on one side.

Probably just try getting clear plugs for them, or flesh-coloured would work. Hide them with your hair as much as you can, and just...don't mention them. If you're asked, say it's for religious purposes, and ramble on for a little bit about finding serenity.

At my workplace, there's no one with stretched ears, but there's at least five of us with other ear piercings. Mine's a helix corkscrew, and is definitely not subtle (14g and it sticks out a lot) but I've never had anyone mention it apart from the lotto girls asking me if it hurt much. xd
However, in the next shop over there's a girl who has one ear stretched to...I don't know exactly, but it's roughly 0 or 00, I think. She just covers it with her hair, or wears a black plug and a similar-size black dome stud in the other ear. You can barely tell.
