As they left, Yeande watched in silence. It was clear Tinania knew what she was doing when it came to small children, which, she hoped, would have put her husband's mind at ease about the idea that she was a perfectly capable mother to her son long before Zhane was in her life.

"Well?" she asked when she was sure Nani had moved out of earshot. "Do you feel any better?"

"Mn." he grunted in response, looking back to the binder in his lap. Shaking her head, Yeande crossed the room to drape herself over his shoulders, hugging him from behind.

"I'm not telling you that you have to learn to love her." Yeande murmured against one blue-tinted ear. "I'm just asking you to accept that Zhane does."

"Yeande..." he said warningly, bristling a bit. Sighing, she let him go again and drew back to her full height, straightening her shirt a bit.

"I'll be in the garden." she informed him, turning to go and leaving him by himself. Everyone involved had enough to think about at the moment.
