This is a private rp for myself and Leon_a_darkangel. Please, no other posting.
Grace sighed, propping herself against a public bench that lay out on the green grass of the park. There was a hotdog stand, some other benches, a few small giftshops, and even a small grooming spa for Pokemon within her view. There was probably much more, but she was refusing to get up and actually look around until her friend showed up. It was a pretty day. The sun was out. There were kids out playing along with their parents and their Pokemon. The area had a restriction on catching wild Pokemon, so even the Caterpi, Pidgey, and Rattata were enjoying the day and the park visitors. In summary, it still probably left a reason for Grace to complain about something.
"He's ..... late?" She sighed, letting her hair fall into her face. She hadn't seen her friend Leon is probably a year. She heard he and his small team were getting along well, and that they had been out having their own adventures. After losing her mother, Grace had moved in with her brother. It was only recently did she decide to leave the house to travel around with her Pokemon once more. Leon would know far more about was happening in the world than she did. She looked to her belt. There were six Pokeballs attached to it, each ball holding a different friend. She had more than six friends, but the rules would state she could only hold so many at a time. Leon would meet the others, one day.
Pushing the hair out from her eyes, she looked back out at the other people as they passed by.

He was so nervous, he wondered if his head was going to pop. What did you say to some one who you hadn't seen in a year? Not only that... he hadn't achieved much. Frowning at himself he shrugged it off, there was no sense in acting like that. After all, showing up and being nothing but a cynical jerk would have been horrible. That wasn't how he wanted things to go down..it was bad enough he'd was 10 minutes late.
Short of literally running, the dark haired trainer trotted down the walk way as fast as his short legs could carry him. For being 19, he wasn't very tall really at all. Shoulder length black hair was sloppily shoved in a pony tail. At his waist were 3 Pokeballs. Each contained one of his friends. His shoe hit a small puddle of water, spraying it in every which direction. A Pidgey went flying, startled by the sudden burst of noise. The once peaceful scene was ultimately disrupted as he finished his bolting over to the girl who sat by herself, simply watching both things and people move by.
"Grace!" he called, panting. Leaning over he placed his gloved palms on his knees. Heaving a long sigh he looked up and smiled at her. "Sorry.. My alarm. I forgot to set it." he sighed and eased himself down beside her. He hadn't changed much, even for the nice cool sunny day he wore his favorite black zip down hoodie and black slacks. The most color on him was a pair of converse, save the hoodies design granted. "It's been...forever." His bangs slid across his glasses as he looked down at his lap.

Grace blinked, staring at the chaos starting up from the young boy running her way. Upon closer observation her eyes widened, realizing just who the boy was. "Well.. at least.. not much has changed..." She smiled, watching him eventually make his way beside her. She looked down, reaching out to lightly poke him as he caught his breath. "14 minutes late, not 10. But... don't worry too much." She scooted further to the left of the bench, motioning him to take a seat beside her.
He looked different, yet not. Despite him being just as clumsy he seemed a little more confident, even if he were to probably deny it. She looked to his waste, seeing the three Pokeballs. She wondered how much fun, yet how much trouble, they probably gave the poor boy.

He'd have replied with a simple 'you have no idea' if she'd asked him about the 3 little balls and there contents. Each one contained another Pokemon, each dear to him...each containing there own various sets of issues and temperaments. To say the least, the four of them were quiet the party. Shaking his head he couldn't help smiling as he removed his glasses scrubbing at them vigorously to remove the dirt and dust. Placing them back on his nose, he pushed them up. A habit he'd never broken himself of. "Well... I tried. I'm sorry Grace." He sighed sheepishly, scratching at the back of his neck.
While he was still as clumsy as the day she'd met him, and despite any protests and arguments he could have made he had come a long way. He'd been shy, and not willing to talk to anyone. A bumbling trainer who some how managed to pull it together in the end. From what he could see, she hadn't changed to much either. She still told him he was doing it wrong.. and was still the friend he remembered. "How've you been?" he finally asked as if remembering his manners. He eased himself onto the bench and scooted a fraction closer.
It was at this point the first of his three pokemon made there apperance. The pokeball opened it's self, a bright red beam shooting just in front of them. It slowly took the shape of a Vulpix. Once it had fully taken shape the pokemon stretched, and sat down on his haunches. It was unique, in that it was white, with black markings. "Vull?"
Leon grinned and reached down to scratch the pokemon's ear. "Hello Foxx." He jumped when the next pokeball open. "And the circus begins." He laughed, also greeting the sprite-ly Marril who made her appearance. "And Ami too." It took the third ball a long moment, but it took at last popped open. The small Caterpie that popped from it's contents promptly crawled up is trainers leg and curled around his neck

She blinked, thinking to herself. How had she been doing? She felt guilty, her past thoughts of wanting more in her life. Her best friend seemed so happy, his three at his side. Considering the fact she had over ten to cause her chaos .. it seemed weird to her.
Musing, she opened her mouth to reply, then found no words to come out. Her eyes were busy staring as each of Leon's Pokemon came out, crawling on their caretaker for a seat. She barely knew them anymore, but each of the three were Pokemon she remembered. Foxx from the day they were each given their firstpartner, Ami from pictures lined with cookie crumbs, and Ami from the bug catching contest they both participated in.
"I see.. they still like to use you as a couch, eh?" She smiled, reaching out to pet at Ami.
Her Pokemon were less likely to come out unless called, save for Carbuncle. So feeling like it would be strange not to let her own catch a glimpse of the beautiful spring day, she grasped onto her belt, trying to egg a few out. A few was not possible, as her Pokemon had other plans.
A bright light shone, and a small, green Pikachu jumped out. It twitched, then skittered over to Leon, sniffing at him before zipping back and forth between him and his trainer.
"I .. didn't mean for .. him to .. "
She paused, as another light shown. As Grace sweatdropped, Charmer came out. He yawned, looked at the two of them, then curled up to sleep.
"Now wait just a minu--" Another light shown. A small caterpie crawled over, proceeding to latch onto her pants.
" ....... Seriously? What is this, this is not necessary!" A fourth and fifth light shone as a Meowith and Skitty appeared, each beginning to laugh. They began chasing each other in a circle around her.
"Come o--" A final light shone, letting out a small Turtwig. The small one looked at all the commotion, yawned, and returned to it's pokeball without questioning.
Grace sighed, looking to the Poke on her pants, the one asleep at her feet, the one still zipping back and forth, and the two continuing their game of chase.
"Is it embarrass your trainer day? GET BACK HERE!!"

He did not blame her in the least that she had more Pokemon, how could he? She'd always been better off then him in that respect he could not deny this. He had wished for more, he would not lie.. but the three had been good to him just the same.
He recognized very few in her team as each came forth, bringing a smile that only seemed to grow as each made there star shining appearance. Laughing he shook his head almost thoughtfully as he reached out smoothing one of Foxx's ears down. "Yeah, still a sofa for my Pokemon. That likely won't change anytime soon." He tsked almost semi thoughtful like.
"Not that I am complaining mind you." Charmer had grown..so much. He couldn't help the thought. It was impressive in fact. The little Caterpie he did recognize, but the others..they were a mystery to the trainer. Nor did he see Ami's old partner in crime Driz. Yet.. when he caught sight of the little hyperactive strange looking green Pikachu, Leon's eyes about doubled in size breathing in he reached out to itch at it when it paused long enough for him to do so. "Oh... aren't you just adorable." he smiled fondly.
He loved his first partner, make no mistake. However, he'd always had a soft spotweakness for the Electric mouse and all its stages. Shaking his head he looked back at her, a considering expression on his face. "Heh.. and I thought my team was bad." he at last teased shoving his glasses back up his nose as he watched each interact.
Grace seemed to have quite the family, maybe some day his party would grow as well? Who knew.
Ami's expression lite right up, pleased to be pet. Giggling like only a pleased Marril could she nuzzled at the females hand. She barely remembered Grace, more that she was Driz's trainer. Her tail wiggled from her delight.
Keene peered shyly at the other Caterpie. It was a habit for him to remained hidden in his trainers hood, unless he was snug and secure in his Poke-Ball. It made no attempt to really be seen.. it was more or less just curious.
Foxx once he'd had his proper dose of attention quirked a brow and padded over to Charmer, plopping down beside the other the White and Black colored Vulpix eased himself into a sitting position and eased a paw out in his own way poking at the other. "Long time no see."
To the trainers, it sounded more like "Vullll vul?"
