Nandeli was on the prowl, and that was never a good thing.
She'd got wind that the number of candidates had skyrocketed in the last couple of days and she was anxious to find out about them all. Word in the Weyr had it that a great deal of them were girls, but that might only be bronzerider hoping. They were always the type to be interested in pretty girls, especially recently Searched ones. More girls meant more juicy stories, so Nan couldn't really complain. But today she wasn't looking for a girl. She had her eye out for a certain boy.
The Nose was currently situated at the entrance to the dining hall, waiting for someone who matched the description. Blonde hair, blue eyes, kind of pale, young but not too young. Not the best description, but it would have to do until she met the guy. Just knowing a guy by his appearance wasn't a good thing for Nan; she wanted to know everything about him so she could tell her informants in the kitchen. Besides, how could she seek out the girl (or boy) he was destined to be with if she didn't know anything about him?

Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable.
Valiash had a feeling that his accommodation in the Weyr might leave a bit to be desired, but this... Even though the Weyr itself was impressive, really impressive, just why was he to SHARE his room? He attempted to fix this mistake by talking with the Candidatemaster, but the woman certainly wasn't understanding.
So apparently, he'll have to bear it. But as soon as he'll Impress a handsome bronze dragon (ofcourse the biggest from the whole clutch, nothing else could be possible for him), he'll surely get a proper place for his rest.
So he only placed his things in there (there was unbelievably little of them, why couldn't they let him take all his treasures with him...? So many things he had to leave behind...), and sending the barracks a last, mean glare, Val walked out and made his way to the first place he wanted to see.
The Dining Hall.
Because the whole thing was majestic, sure. Also, he certainly needs to go and take a peek at the eggs, to choose one that he'd take liking to, he has to start bonding with his future dragon soon doesn't he? And he can bear company of those annoying commoners for a while, as long as they'll keep quiet and let him have his beauty sleep...
But if the food is going to be bad, he'll simply way aside the whole damn mess, dragons and duty and pride and whatsoever, and return home to Aiden. He is NOT going to comply with bad food.
Soon, he was there. Dining hall apparently. Now, the moment of Truth.

The girl was just starting to think that her mysterious blond-haired, blue-eyed boy would never show up when she spotted someone making their way towards the dining hall. She stood up even straighter, practically trembling with excitement as the person got closer and closer. Could it be? It must be! This person matched his description to a tee, not to mention she had definitely never seen him before. Success! She did a mental dance of victory ™ before making her move on the unfortunate… I mean, very nice Candidate.
"Aha! I have found you, oh mysterious new person!" She threw her spare arm around his shoulders, grinning broadly. Nan was never above putting her arm around someone, especially when she was out to get all the juicy details about their secret horrible past out of them. It had worked very well in the past with a particular shepherd boy, even if he hadn't had anything scandalous to tell her (a shame, really). Still grinning, she began attempting to steer him towards her favourite table. Nothing like getting to know someone over a plate of warm rolls!
"Where have you been, young man? You've been hiding from me haven't you? You have! I just know it! Honestly, did you think I would never find you? The Nose Knows my dear Candidate. Now, tell me everything about you! Name first, clearly as you can!" She waved for one of the serving drudges. "Can we get some cups at the table please? And klah? You do like klah, don't you?"
