i think mine is a boy, cuz it's got a low sound. (i have a 15.5 inch) i call it willow even though it's not made of willow wood or something. ^^; i'm thinking of maybe renaming it and naming my bow...which is a girl. i'll let you know when i'm for sure!

i renamed my viola hugs and my bow kisses. it's cheesy but it fits.

My viola's name is Fredward!
#1 Cuz it sounds cool,
and #2 because ever since i was like 5, EVERYTHING i owned that had a name was fred and bob. My waterbabies, my fish and frog...
No I don't sniff rosin.
Does anyone elses hair get stuck it the chin rest sometimes?!!
That drives me nuts! Cuz it really hurts when you pull away from it!

I named my baby girl Catherine. She's such a sweet thing, I've actually gotten to the point where I don't believe I could play any other viola the way I play her. She's uber fantasmical.

My viola is definitely male. His name is Big Ben (I just traded Benny in). If anybody asks another viola player who I'm dating they'll tell them Ben. And KarinMaaka16, my hair doesn't get stuck in the chin rest but it does get stuck in the shoulder rest, which is uber-annoying and painful.
