I got my braces. It wasn't as bad as I though except I have a ton of spacers and a wire poking me in the back of my mouth. And I slur. And ... never mind. Yay me?

Yay, braces! biggrin
They gave me pretty teeth. It sucks when you lose your first few teeth by being hit with a basketball, getting kicked (accidentally) in the mouth, and falling down against a pole (go figure, my teeth weren't exactly straight).
If there's a wire poking you, tell the orthodontist about it, you'll get horrible cuts in your mouth if you don't.
And please, if you feel pain because of it, take a painkiller. Don't just think the pain will go away, because next time you bite something it will be TERRIBLE.
YAY YOU.

For how long are you going to have braces? 2 whole years. sad I'm going to screw my homework and go to sleep. It makes me feel better.

Oh, not such a long time.
I had them for three years and four months, plus two months because I had to get a mouth surgery to allow my canines to come down.
Eh...I guess I have to explain a little how it was. Open my gums (upper), stick this small circular thing called "button" on them, close them up again.
Each month, with every visit to the orthodoncist, they would put a wire around the button (which hurt because the buttons can be seen through the gums, but not the teeth...that means, it hurt my gums a little), and tie it to the regular wire in the braces so that they would come down.
IT HURT LOTS.
So, I had nothing but vanilla ice cream for two months.

Needless to say, I don't like vanilla ice cream any more.
CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY. biggrin

Apparently my lower jaw is "too" out.
I don't think anything is wrong with my jaw. It's just a bit pointed.
Did I mention I have a s**t ton of spacers? They hurt. The braces don't hurt but the spacers do.
And the wire is cutting into my lower lip ... not really cutting more like slicing. A chunk of skin came out this morning. ;__;

They should not be trusted.
