I was just doing my hair, and I had a thought. I always brush my hair to the left, that's where I always want my hair to be. I won't sleep well if I sleep on my left side, and I can't tolerate anyone standing over my left shoulder, unless I can clearly see them, or I know exactly who they are, and what they're liable to do. I decided that my left side is my vulnerable side-the part of me that I want to keep people from seeing, keep people from hurting. My right side is my strong side, because I can grab people, and I don't much care what goes on there. I don't like having my hair on that side, because it blocks me from seeing what's there.
I think everyone has a vulnerable side, for people with long hair, it's probably the side you always want to put you hair on, the shoulder you twist your hair over when you want it off your neck. For people with shorter hair, I dunno, but you all tell me.
I know this is kinda random, but it's something that might help everyone understand themselves better, in some way that I'm not yet sure of.

As you may have learned in your studies, your left side is your Goddess side and your right side is your God side. Since you say that your left side is more vunerable, you may have some issues with your goddess attributes. Those differ for each person, depending on how each person views the Goddess. You could be afraid of revealing a side or sides of yourself to other people. The Dark Mother side of you could be wanting to keep secret the dark side of your feminty. I'm curious as to what the other coven members add to this. I think we all have a side of our bodies that we protect more. For me it is my right side. mp

This applies to me somewhat, though not as much.
I also, cannot stand when people stand over my left shoulder or walk on my left side. Always on the right. xD
I also always put my hair on the right so I can see whats going on on the left.
But.. I toss and turn like crazy at night, so I sleep on oth sides, really.
Very interesting though! 3nodding

Whoa! That's freaky! I part my hair to the right, always, it looks weird to the left, I feel off-balanced. I turn away from people who stand to my right. I sleep on my right side. My right side feels very distant from everyone while my left side is very receptive. I had never noticed that until I read this. Hmm, that's so weird! Thanks! lol!

I could have sworn that the left/right sides only applied to the ALTAR.
A truly balanced person shouldn't have the god or goddess reserved for one side of their body. What if you lost a leg? The god or goddess would be diminished on that side, and really lose any balance a person may have had.

I do not believe I have a "vulnerable side" (I'm just plain uncoorindated on the whole! =D ). I think my dad does, his left side, but that's because he's deaf on that side.
It may be related to people's dominant hands, though. You know, the dominant hand, which hand writes the best. For most people, it's the right. There's also a dominant eye. One could guess that the same applies to much else in the body, like the foot, arm, leg... and of course, you could also reverse it--most people don't write as well with their left hand, so it would be the "vulnerable side".
Weird science fact--a lot of professional pitchers are dominant right hand, but dominant left-eyed, although the reversal of sides is normally very rare. (Source is my science teacher, though, and he could be wrong...)
